Its unlikely that your thread will be deleted. Moderators only delete threads/posts/accounts with a good reason to do so. Bear in mind that they do not get paid for moderating the forum.

Little Chuck is correct, we only delete a thread if there is justifiable cause. Members are expected to understand that some consideration should be given to what they choose to out to the world on a public forum and that responses may not be what is expected or wanted.

Okay, but this it what it says in the Forum FAQ :
Can I edit or delete my posts?
If you have registered and are logged in, you may be able to edit and delete your posts (although the administrator may have turned off this option). Your ability to edit your posts may be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum.
To edit or delete your posts, click the Edit Edit / Delete Message button by the particular post. If your post was the first in the thread, then deleting it may remove the entire thread.
Once you've made your modifications, a note may appear to inform other users that you have edited your post.
If the edit time and date appear as a link you can click on this to see the differences between the original and edited versions, or between edits if there have been multiple edits.
Can others edit my posts?
Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages. If they do, there may not be a note telling other users that the post was modified.

So I understand by this that I'm entitled to edit or delete my own post, since I don't have that option anymore, I'm reaching out to you, the Administrator, to do it for me. Isn't it me just changing my mind about a post enough reason? Is it really so hard to just delete a post/thread?
Thanks.
You have 5 minutes after posting to 'edit' your post.

Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
It doesn't say so in the FAQs about the 5 minutes... I just can't understand why a person who posts a thread/message can't delete its own, like other normal forums allow you to, or given the fact that it's not possible for the user, why can't the administrador understand that I want that thread deleted??? I posted that thread of anger after a personal situation and I regret it, is that so hard to comprehend??? I ask you nicely again, please, would you please delete it? I've given my reasons and everything. I do think it's kinda weird that you must give reasons to delete a thread!! come on!! And please, change that FAQs...You should totally make clear that as a user you aren't not allowed to delete your posts/threads and that you have to give "good reasons" to the administrator to do so...
Thanks
I can understand how you feel, but it isn't like anyone knows who you are anyway. There are hundreds of people who come and go from this forum. I have noticed that many pop on and sign up when they are in crisis, and it seems that the regular members and mods try really hard to give them good advice. Sometimes not as quickly as the poster may want, but everyone tries. And maybe the act of just writing your post and getting it all out was cathartic in itself. If you are not happy with your post, why not just sign off or just not go back to that thread?
Because if I sign off or not go back to the thread it will still be here. I read another person's request to delete her thread because she googled certain words and her thread would show up! That's not very private to me. Is there any way to delete your account? I think not. I agree, it was cathartic and I appreciate that, but we, as users, should have the right to delete our posts if we wish to do so. I think it really messes up with free will, don't you agree? I know I'm right, because you do not mention in the FAQs (that I always read from any website I use and it's what basically tells you what the site is all about) that threads and posts can't be deleted by the person who creates them and that you almost have to say that a serial killer is after you to agree and delete it. If that were the case then I'd respect your decision, but it's not. You should definitely consider my petition since I'm a first time user and I don't plan to come back here. . Thanks.
Why do you not just delete your browsing history, and forget about the forum if you do not plan to come back? You are being very unfair to the mods. They take time out of their day to keep this forum a happy and supportive place to be. If they deleted posts/threads/accounts on request, along with dealing with spam, trolls and rude members, replying to private message, visitors messages, questions posted in the feedback forum and tried to answer threads, this forum would not be a tiny bit as good as it is.
As you have also been told, it would be very confusing for members to reply to threads and then check back to see that certain thread has been edited, removed or details added.

Well, that is the nature of the internet. Once something is posted, it is out there, and often can be googled. I've posted reviews to products I've bought and didn't realize that if people googled my real name, there's my review. I still don't understand why you're so upset. You have a screen name that is in no way tied to your real name. Who is ever to know you posted that????? Or is your story so unique to you that there will be slews of friends and family googling key words and finding your post? The internet is so anonymous I just don't see why you don't just walk away.
