    Hey Moms!

I would like to know when did you all start your babies on the food that you eat. When did you stop the jar foods and start giving him/her regular food with salt and taste?

Following what most pediatricians would advise, you can start to introduce more solid foods at year one. Every child is different though so I suggest consulting with your child's pediatrician.

My son is only 13mos, but we stared feeding him cream of wheat, mashed potatoes, and super steamed veggies and soft fruits when he was around 9-10mos. He started rejecting jar food around that time and LOVED getting to eat what we were all eating. Now he's up to 6 teeth and eats hotdogs and cooked pasta and since he's been back to teething, he loves munching on goldfish crackers (with my supervision, of course). Honestly, though, it's up to your child... and consulting a doctor isn't ever a bad idea.

Most grocery stores have gerber's graduates food... they have things like raviolis and spaghetti-O type things. My son was never a big fan of their mac n cheese, though. In my opinion, that one tastes a little weird.
