Although I am happy for my daughter that her father had made contact with me and has been keen on meeting her, after he had left when I was pregnant, some 6 years ago ...
Now he is sorry, seems genuine, and I am past the hurt and anger and would like for my daughter to have the chance to at least get to know her father. I have agreed for him to finally meet her, he would be coming in Feb. Is there anyone out there who is in a similar situation as I am or had gone through something of some sort? I would just to have another person's insight on how to explain to my 5 yr old daughter where his father had been all these years. I want to be able to explain it to her as lightly as possible ... I dont want it to sound dramatic at all .... |

as little kids have no concept of time etc cant you just say he's been away and now is back to see his lovely little girl. as i said in another post GOOD LUCK! if your daughter is as sweet as she sounds - he wont be able to resist her!
