Sounds to me like PPD....if I were you I would talk these feelings over with your OBGYN....being angry at your newborn and crying all the time yourself is not "normal" I'm not a sugar coater....yes being a new mom is hard...having breakdowns when your baby does is not "normal"....consult a doctor...my sister went thru this with her third...you can do it you just need help.

oh sweety i know exactly how you feel. it is a part of postpartum depression. i had it really bad. my baby is 18 months old now but boy when she was born i was a mess. you just gotta try anything you can. give the baby some mylecon for his tummy and maybe change the formula to sensitive if it is his tummy. he will cry and you will want to kill yourself but it will all be ok...trust me. it does get better. just get some fresh air and try to have people help you out with him. talk to your husband and get things off your chest. my mother was never around so i never really had a whole lot of help. i went to the doctor and got medication cuz i really felt like killing myself. get some anxiety medicine and you will feel better. dont worry the baby gets older each day that passes. good luck

My cousin had this problem with his baby daughter. Once a day we would give her some mint tea in a bottle and it seemed to calm her.

    Default It is okay

Its okay to feel sad, angry, crazy. I also believe its okay to feel guilty because thats what will keep you in check. Dont give your baby anything that isnt breastmilk or formula unless your doctor okays it. Its all a frame of mind as well. just remember they arent trying to upset you they dont know whats going on or how to fix it. they need you they need your love and you need them and their love as well. A baby carrier for a grumpy baby can be awsome as well as a vibrating bouncy chair it helps upset tummys. under your supervision only you could try laying baby on tummy for a little bit. it helped my first two kids. My third baby i didnt lay on tummy till she was a little older cause she was very delicate. use your own judgment on that.

LIke everyone has said what your feeling is normal. I felt that way with my daughters as well. Its very important that you get some adult conversation throughout the day. Go to a mom's group, or be sure top check at churches sometimes they run mommy groups. It would be helpful to get out and speak to other moms. Another thing to watch for is how yoru feeling. I believe i was depressed for a long time before i actually went to see my DR. Feeling like you made a mistake is normal, my daughter is 4 and i still feel that way sometimes. Its hard being a mom, your time is occupied by taking care of another one, and your feeling like what about me. Take care of yourself. Do you have anyone who can come and help you out 1-2 times a week, friend , inlaw?? Good luck
