    Hey LanaBear,

I had problems with my older son with bedweating. Believe me or not he was 12 years old when he stop bedweating. I did everything in the books and listen to all the advises anybody can give but nothing worked. He was complaining about he's back that hurts a lot. I took him to the pediatrician but didn't help him much. One day a coworker said to me to take him to a chiropactor. I am not sure what the chiropactor did but I know for sure it helped my son with his back and he stoped bedweating.
Blessed the chiropactor who helped my son.

Im not a parent but I do remember wetting the bed until I was about 8. I wish I could say that it was some complicated medical condition but it wasn't. I was simply such a deep sleeper that I wouldn't wake up and my bladder couldn't hold it. lol I would wake up wet and not even know when I did it. Just be patient. Have him go to the bathroom everynight b4 bed and stop giving him liquids for about 2 hours b4 he goes to sleep.

Is your son by any chance a heavy sleeper? Once he falls asleep is he usually down for the count? My boyfriends son has the same problem except for when he stays the night over her and our trick to prevent it? Well, since his son is a very heavy sleeper we set an alarm and we would get up and wake him up and make him go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. In the summer time when he is over her more than just the weekend after about a week he gets into the habit of getting up at that time on his own (we always set the alarm for the same time) but once he returns back home to his Mom's and she won't do that for him, he ends up reverting back to wetting the bed. The only other suggestion is limit the amount of fluids he has after a certain time prior to going to bed and make sure he goes to the bathroom before he hits the hay. Hope that helps.

I have info for you to help your son!!! i hope this info will help

If overnight bladder control is not achieved by age 4 or 5 the problem is called primary enuresis. some bedwetters lack a substance called antidiuretic hormone which slows night itme urine output. In time most children produce enough of this hormone to stay dry at night. A medication to boost levels of antidiuretic hormone is availble, but it is generally used only used on older children after other treatments have failed. Children who have who have been dry at night but converted to bedwetting are said to have secondary enuresis; in there cases emotional factors are more likely to be involved. time and parental support are the only treatments needed for bedwetting.

I was a bed wetter and yes it ran in my family but only in females. my brother was fine and the weird part is that we got this from my father.. I went through so many treatments and my mother thought that i was just to lazy to get out of bed to use the washroom. SHe was wrong. I was put through the worsts teats ever like.. i would get a tube put into my baldder to fill my bladder with water. then i had to sit with a full badder for 1 hour. OMG!! it sucked so bad. that was aweful. I didnt stop bed wetting till i was 13.

I used to wet the bed until I was 6. I guess what stopped me was my mother and older sister(who I shared a room with) kept embarassing me about. I don't suggest doing that though.
