Some children do for alot longer than that.

Is she asking you sweet? Or are you wondering?

I agree with the ladies, some women go on until their child is three and four ( I don't know why??? ) I breastfed all three of mine and when those teeth came in and they began to chew,It was time to stop!!!!

Just wondering. I was told by my mom that when she had me and my sister, we breastfed until we're about 8 months old and then we went to sip cups

I breastfed both mine past 3 yrs old. As they get past a year they do so less often but it sure makes the twos easier and gives their immune systems an extra boost. My kids are rarely sick.

Its recommended by the pediatric association that you breastfeed until your child is 2 years or older! So its completely normal. I just finished breastfeeding my son and he is 13 months, but it if he asks for it (rarely happens) I will still give it to him! Its so good for them.

My son breastfeed until he got those first teeth. He bit me the one time and drew blood so I stopped offering him my breast. However breast milk is recommended by pediatricians so instead of letting him latch on I went out and bout a hospital grade breast pump and began pumping daily. I would give him his sippy cup with my milk in it at least 2 times a day and the rest of the time he was eating and drinking other things. My son was 3 months early so very preemie and his pediatrician strongly suggested I offer breastmilk until at least 2 yrs of age because of the boost it would give his immune system. When he turned 2 I figured he was ok so I stopped pumping. He never even noticed the switch to regular milk.

i still breastfeed my 2 year old son, right now have no plan to ween him off yet, it helps build his immune systems. Maybe I will start weening him off in a year.
