a suggestion...
Hey there....
about a year and a half ago, I never believed I could have children because of endometriosis...then i went to the nicest doctor ever! He was a fertility specialist, and he totally treated me and my husband with such respect, and he was so patient with us!
we had to wait long hours in the office, but once you got in, it was like you were the only patient he needed to deal with, and gave you such individual attention that the long waits were worth it.
i didnt take one single fertility drug, i didnt have to do IVF, or anything like that. Some women do, but there are other things that a fertility doc can do besides just those things! i almost didnt go to one because my mind was closed to the topic, just brushing it off as something i didnt want to do.
I'm so glad we went...my baby boy was born in November of 2006.
i dont know what state you live in, but here in CT, fertility visits are covered under insurance, and its a law that they have to cover you for up to 5 cycles of IVF too! start checking into your insurance, and what they will cover, and what the state requires them to cover.
I strongly feel you should just bypass the regular OB/GYN and go straight to the specialist....this is what they train for! Give it a shot, and see if they can help you!
Wishing you lots of luck!
