So I was browsing my netflix account and found this great movie called "No Impact Man". The movie is about a family that tries to like a no impact life, meaning no electricity, using only recycled things or reusing old things. I really loved the cloth diapers that he put on his baby! After a bit of googling I d am thinking about making the switch to cloth. Have any other parents started using cloth diapers? Good bad? Anybody want to do the switch with me?

My kids are pretty much grown and I used cloth diapers. It was no biggie. Way cheaper, fewer rashes.

My mom told me that she used to use them on me when I was a baby, I am the oldest of 3 and she says it was the worst experience and never bothered to use them on my brother and sister. She told me if I do decide to do it she wishes me luck and will not help with that part of the laundry lol. I am more mainstream though so I know when I have a kid it will be store bought Huggies type deal, the last thing I want is to deal with more baby poo than I have to.

I tried and had no luck, maybe I wasn't doing it right, I don't know. Leaks, accidents with every single one. I didn't have the patience for it.

However, I did find that cloth diapers make the best burp cloths ever.

My mom told me she used the on me she thought cloth diapers were great. She use the birdseye diapers and rubber pants. Yeah it is a little more wash and you have to mess around with the poop but I plan on using them once I have kids.

We used gdiapers with our youngest (now 4) and really liked them. You can buy either compostable or cloth inserts to go with the outer diaper/pants. That was convenient for us. We tended to use the cloth inserts but the other kind were great for when we were away from home.

I used these cloth diapers called bumgenius. They were awesome! They have velcro closures and are adjustable so you can use the same diapers from 2 months through 2+ years.

My best friend is a new mom and planned on using cloth diapers so she invested in some great ones that adjust as the baby grows; however, they cannot be used with any type of diaper rash cream. In addition to this, if your child goes to a daycare the cloth diapers are not allowed.
