Thread: Soon to be MOM - concern with empty gestational sac

Hello,

I tried making a post in the pregnancy area regarding my concern, however, I don't think anyone who posts in that area is actually pregnant so I am going to try here since you all are already mothers.

I am a mother of a 10 year old and found out 2 weeks ago I am expecting. It was planned but when we went to our first appointment this past Wednesday, the doc did a transvaginal ultrasound and said I was only measuring 6 weeks and there was nothing visible in my sac yet. She said it might be too early to see anything, however I am very concerned because my last period was May 20. I thought I should be further along, but the empty sac is my biggest worry right now. I go back in 2 weeks for another look but I was wondering if during any of your pregnancy experiences this happened to you?
