Default Trying to become a Mom - please help!

I'm 30 years old and have been trying to get pregnant for the last 4 months. I have a question regarding implantation bleeding. I had it for a few days about 8-9 days after ovulation and was pretty sure I was pregnant (had headaches, mild cramps). I took several tests and all came back negative. Now, I got my period, although 2 days late. I am usually very regular (my period is every 28 days with no abnormal bleeding) and ovulate regularly. Did something go wrong? Should I worry? has this happened to anyone?? I figured since most of you are Moms you'd know a thing or two about trying to conceive... Thanks!

well i'm a mother of 3 boys and fertile myrtle. i'm 37 and i had my last child at 30. maybe it isn't a problem with you at all. has your spouse had any other children with anyone else? maybe he should have a sperm count done. ya never know. boost your intake of folic acid. it is also a good idea to start taking some pre natal vitamins if you already haven't done so. i hope this helps and good luck with becoming a mommy!!!! It doesnt sounds like something went wrong, maybe your period just came late even though its usually regular. It took my husband and i 3 and a half months to concieve when we started trying. I'll give you the tips i used

I started taking over the counter prenatal vitamins right away
After intercourse, lay in bed for 15- 30mins with a pillow under you
Oh yeah and make sure you are not on top during intercourse
Have intercourse every other day, NOT everyday, it lessens the sperm count.

Those are just some tips i used, everyone is different though and they might or might not work for you. Just remember to take those vitamins even though you are just trying, they help prevent birth defects. Goodluck and keep us updated!

Well, my husband and I have been trying for 2 years and I am almost 29. I wouldn't worry about your period. I once had a positive test and no period for a month and then it turned out that I wasn't pregnant. I'd love to chat more about what you have tried and haven't tried. Feel free to email off line or on here jillcclark@shaw.ca

No, there is nothing wrong with you, at least not yet. Dr.'s don't even like to see you until you have been actively trying to conceive for at least 1 year, 6 months if you are over 35. It took me over one year to conceive my first daughter and then 2 years and three months and 2 miscarriages to conceive my twins (will the help of some wonderful Dr.s and IVF).

If you want a really good book to guide you in the right direction, I would get Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It really is a great book and will answer a lot of the questions you might have about trying to get pregnant. Good luck!

Maybe you just missed it. I know friends of ours were together for a long time before they got married, so they thought getting pregnant would be a snap. But it took her over seven months because she ovulated later than she thought she did, and she kept missing her window. So for starters, make sure your cycle is where you think it is. (I ovulate early, for example. I get my period every 26 days exactly)
