Yikes! Doesn't that burn?

Patricia hopefully things will start getting better for you real soon. I know it can get very frustrating with a sick little one, especially if they can't tell you where or what hurts. Hang in there, we're all thinking about you wishing you the best.

Well, the only time i go to a doctor is after a motor cycle
accident. I'm rarely sick. Don't have colds. Listerine
kills germs in the mouth, why not the nose? Same germs.

Actually the last time I was at the doctor I had to make
announcements that it was NOT a motorcycle accident.

I decided to clean the tiles with a sponge, so had cleaned
all the tiles, there were nice and shiney. i opened the front
door and slid right out of the house.

Uncle Benjy used to say; "Dirt won't kill ya, cleanliness will."

Twisted my ankle.
Not bad enough for steriods.

I believe that is so true. I've heard it said that you can be to clean and that hand sanitizers and things of that nature are really not as helpful (especially for kids) as they claim to be because when you do come in contact with something your immune system is not built up like it should be.

That is true. Being too clean can be a problem for your health and also for your children. I like having a clean house. My house is a little cluttered and you can tell we play a lot. I think its really scary when you go inside someones house and you can't tell they have kids.

I'm sorry that you were given the wrong info by the doctors, patricias. My youngest had RSV when she was 2 months old and again when she was 11 months old. Each time she (or I should say we) had a 5 day stay in the hospital under a plastic tent breathing in oxygen, with breathing treatments every three hours. She was being fed through an IV because she was so congested that she couldn't hold down formula. I had to pat her back a few times a day to help loosen the congestion. They had to put tubes down her nose a few times a day to suck out the phlegm from her lungs that was causing her to have severe breathing difficulty. And I had a bad cold the first time, so they quarantined us to our own room. I also went through a bit of a run around because the dr's didn't know what my daughter had at first. It's good that you're at home because your baby probably has a milder case. Have you tried running a hot shower and sitting in the bathroom with your baby with the door closed a few times a day? I guess that's the same thing as the humidifier' but on a larger scale. I've also used Vicks, but didn't think about problems with putting it on a baby's skin...guess that makes me a bad mom (lol!). But I'm sorry I can't suggest anything else...there is no 'cure' for rsv. I know I'm a few days late, but I hope that you've found a good doctor that know's what he or she is doing and that your baby will be feeling better soon.

Smile cod liver oil- the much overlooked cure-all

she wasn't there, and took down a book on Blood,

I then went and bought cod liver oil. I gave him
cod liver oil twice a day, then decided to take him
home, because I notice a lot of bruising on him

They made a big fuss, but I took him anyway, and
gave him cod liver oil.

He was married two years ago and gave me my
first grandchild.

You may notice he didn't die.
Grow up 'yellow' or stunted
or suffer with his 'high billirubin level'.
This makes me laugh because my mom thought cod liver oil was the cure-all for everything and my sis-in-law said the same thing to me a few days ago. My husband and I survived that 'ordeal' and now my kids will survive it too.
