hello 24glenda,
well i'm a mom of 3 boys and they were all terrible sleepers. what i have found that worked for me sometimes was to give them a bath at night instead of during the daytime. it seems to help relax them in the evening time. try the lavender baby bath. also i had one child that was very gassy. he always had a tummy ache. i just got some infant mylacon gas drops to help him. do you suspect your baby might have colic? maybe the formula you use might not agree with your baby. well good luck and enjoy your precious baby, they do grow up fast!!!!!!

Maybe you can try giving him a massage after a night time bath. When he's awake during the day try excersising his hands and legs.If you find that he wrings his body when he's crying thats because he has gas and it makes them very uncomfortable. Talk to his doctor about it. Goodluck.

Sometimes, if we miss the baby's window where they are sleepy, by the time they go down, they're overtired and it takes them longer. Is he getting enough naps during the day? Not enough sleep during the day could make him overtired by the time his bedtime rolls around.
I don't think its a tantrum. They really don't have them at this age. Does he like to be rocked before bed? What is the ritual you have before bed? There's a great book called "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracy Hoag, I think is her last name, it really helped me a lot reading the signs of my daughter being ready to sleep, being overtired, etc. It's in paperback and really has a lot of good info. |
