Default Am I Pregnant?

I'm asking all of you for advice, since all of you have gone through pregnancies.

The first thing I noticed was my period. I had a very light amount of spotting, less than when I was on birth control, when I was supposed to be on my period. Usually, I have a high amount of blood and extremely painful cramps while menstruating. Also, I'm usually extremely moody and cry a lot. I had nothing but a very small amount of blood.

One night during my "period" I all of a sudden got sick while I was at work. The worst of it lasted for about two hours, when I made frequent trips to the bathroom, some of which were to throw up and some of which were flase alarms.

I've been tired since all of this started and it hasn't cleared up after over eleven days from the day it began. Yesterday when I got up in the morning I was extremely dizzy, so much so that I ran into the same door twice while I was attempting to put on make-up. I sat down on the bed to get dressed because I couldn't do it standing up. The dizziness was better an hour later but a faint dizziness lasted most of the day.

I have chronic headaches and I do occasionally get migranes but the normal headaches have been getting worse in waves. I haven't been taking any kind of medicine, just in case.

Also, the smell of a cerain type of pizza, seafood, and peanuts have made me physically ill. Usually I will eat a lot of junk food but I haven't been interested in eating anything that is fried or has a lot of sugar. I've been eating pasta and avoiding pizza, which is sometimes difficult as I work at a pizza place and I usually eat pizza three or more times a week before work. I wouldn't say that I've necessarily been craving food but I know what I want to eat most of the time, which is unusual because I usually can't find anything that I want to eat.

Also, the last two days I have been experiencing back pain. Sometimes the pain is severe and won't leave whether I pop my back or apply a creme. This is a new development for me. I've been sleeping on the same bed and in the same position for some time now so I don't think that the bad has anything to do with it.

One of the women that I work with said she thought I was pregnant based solely on my "symptoms" she observed and my manager said that his wife had many of the same symptoms I asppear to be having when she was pregnant.

I'm not sure if my symptoms are related to pregnancy or to the stomach virus, respiratory thing, or flu that has been going around my school recently.

I haven't been to the doctor yet, though I do plan on making a visit soon. In the meantime, I was just wanting to see if anyone had some advice or predictions as to whether these things may be caused by pregnancy or not.

It sounds like you could be pregnant - the smells were a huge thing for me. The thing is, if you are experiencing back pain and any type of spotting, please go see a doctor. Bleeding is NOT common during pregnancy, I think this is a misconception a lot of people have.

That stomach flu is nasty... a lot of people I know were knocked out by it for about ten days.

And so if you're pregnant and had that its also important to get prenatal care because you have to stay hydrated at the very least, even if you can't eat.

Good luck.
