Default Need help to lose weight

I workout 4 to 5 days a week to the extent where I can attend 2 aerobics classes in a row then go run on the treadmill for 60 mins. I am in very good shape or so everyone tells me. I watch my diet where i sometimes eat about 1500 calories max a day. My problem is that I am not loosing any weight on the scale. My BMI is 21 but I still want to lose 6 to 10 pounds but I just can't. I can't workout anymore nor can I eat any less. Does anyone know why this is happening and if you have any suggestions of what I can do with my diet to help me lose weight

what is your diet like? Maybe you're eating the wrong foods? It could be that you are at your natural, healthy weight as well. Have you had your body fat tested? Remember, muscle weighs more than fat so 6-10 pounds for someone who is in good shape may not be a realistic goal.

Hi,
To lose weight you should firstly change your style of taking foods. May be it's better for you not reduce the amount of food but try to adhere balanced diet or just mono food diet few days a week.

Red face

The best diets for fat loss are not always the obvious ones. So many diets claim to help you lose fat by either eating whatever you want or by starving your body. Both approaches are completely wrong. I would know because I failed to lose a single pound of fat with them. I did eventually find dieting and fat loss success and that's what I'm going to share with you today.

Avoid Dieting Failure

So why do so many of these claimed best diets for fat loss get you no where? Well eating whatever you want is obviously not going to get you thin. The other common misconception is that starving yourself and eating little food is going to make you lose fat. All this really does though is make you de-motivated, miserable, always hungry and ultimately leads to you gaining more fat than you lose. On top of this it slows your metabolism down to a crawl.

LOSE THE FAT AND LOOK GREAT
So then what do the real best diets for fat loss offer? Simple. The underlying principle behind any good diet is that eating healthy shouldn't be a choir. If you hate eating salads then you really don't have to eat them. There are hundreds of healthy alternatives. Depriving your body of carbs, proteins and even fats isn't going to make you lose fat.

If you're like me and pressed for time try bulk cooking some tasty healthy dish's on the weekend. Fridge it and eat it throughout the week. This is a great way to save time in the kitchen and control the size of your meals.

Hi, the same thing happened to me, where i just hit a plateau. i asked one of the personal trainers at my gym and he said it is important to change up your work out. after your aerobics classes, maybe instead of hitting the treadmill, get onto the bikes or the stair climber, which may work a different muscle group than you have been targeting by always getting on the treadmill. i was told that is usually the point where people get frustrated and stop working out but to avoid that, switch it up. maybe do the treadmill one day, the next a different machine and then back to the treadmill the next day or however you feel comfortable. hope that helped.

I would like you to take a look at my photo album on my member page. I used to do the same as you are. I would do cardio but never lose weight. I have pictures where I was once 38% body fat and 150 pounds at the age of 33 because I was only doing cardio! Now for the past 4 years I have been lifting weights and I still weight 150 pounds but I am down to 14% body fat. You can change the way you look by building lean muscle and not burning it by doing too much cardio. Your lean muscle will burn calories for you 24 hours a day, where as cardio is only burning calories while you are doing it. Most women fear lifting weights because they might get "big and bulky". If you look at all the teenage boys at the gym trying to get big, they are usually totally skinny. They have 10x more testosterone than we do at this age and still cant get "huge". I promise if you start weight training you will change. It may take time but dont give up. You may never go back to doing that much cardio! Best wishes. By the way don't starve yourself either! eating 5-6 small meals a day will help your metabolizm stay high and you will never go into a catabolic state where your body eats your own muscle! Stay strong - Leslie

Hi,

As a suggestion for you, in order for your to lose weight in a natural way, just have an aerobics daily, maintain it with proper diet. I know you are maybe confused what diet program would you apply. You can find it more online but you should have to seek a medical advice from your doctor for the proper diet program. Or you can try the fish oil supplement in your diet program. Your body already hit the plateau. You need a change on your diet and workouts to lose more. You can ask your professional trainer about this.

Also, get your thyroxin level and other thyroid stuff checked. There might be an imbalance. Just a thought.
