Not Sure were to Post this,
I just had my Body Fat Index tested at my local gym, the result was 10.3% which is very low for a woman. I have always been skinny, and I remember that before I went on birth control pills I would often miss my period, and would only have it every 2 to 3 months. I have also been recently diagnosed with low estrogen and have been put on estrofem. I have been researching on the internet and I believe that there might be a direct connection between low estrogen, irregular cycles and low body fat. Is this unhealthy for me? What kind of foods should I eat to raise my body fat in a healthy way?
I dont excersice that often so this does not explain my low body fat.
Thanks
Kari
This may be partially inheirited. What is the rest of your family like? You might want to get a check up, the thyriod can cause you to be underweight as well as over.
Educate your self on healthy diet and MUFAs. Too much fat, especially the wrong kind is bad but so is too little, especially of the right kind. Your body needs it for a healthy nervous system.
