    Default Quick question about milk

I went to get some milk for my cereal (Wegmans Organic Vitamin D Milk), and noticed that, while unopened, the carton was a little dented and the sides were slightly bulged (probably from the dent).

Mom insists that it wasn't like that when she bought it, but she was half-asleep when I asked her, so I don't fully trust what she said.

Can you get botulism from drinking milk? Silly question I know, but I'm curious.

The thing about dented cans is if the seal at the rim is broken and bacteria can get in. This wouldn't be a problem with a milk container.

Nope, the seal was fully on. So no worries right? Plus the container is plastic, not aluminum or glass, but I don't know if that makes a difference or not....

It should be just fine. The plastic or coated paper containers are farily flexible and will get a bit bulgy of out of shape sometimes. The real tell tale thing with milk is it's smell or taste. Sour milk is great for making biscuits and cakes - it isn't pleasant to drink but won't hurt you.
