Sorry it is EODD Every Other Day Diet.
I am looking into EEOD to see if this nutrition plan will help me lose weight. In general it teaches you portion control, and alternates one day of eating reasonably healthy (anything you want) and one day of high lean protein meals at about half of what you ate the day before. This calorie cycling is supposed to trick your body into burning higher amounts of calories. They relate back to "cavemen" as a source of what we are supposed to eat, but frankly I think that is too general since people lived all over the globe from the poles to the amazon and deserts so their diets would vary from sporadic to regular. I mean, in the Amazon, food is plentiful all year round and they doni't eat seasonally. Men tend to be thinner because they are more active than Amazon women which brings us right back to old fashioned portion control and exercise.
Has anyone out there tried this diet? I don't believe the reviews given by the ones selling the product and I can't find any reviews that aren't just a paid link to the EODD diet site.
Sorry it is EODD Every Other Day Diet.
Why not just eat healthy all the time and treat yourself once a week?
A diet like this for people who are comfort eaters, in my opinion will make them really eat up on the days they are allowed to, "over the top eating up", as their mind knows the next day they can't.
I can't see anything but weight being put on, not the other way around....

You'll be surprised that the more you eat small meals throughout the day is better than any diet. This is the same thing as binge eating IMO. Your body is thinking "oh, im never going to have food again for awhile... LET'S STORE IT!" That's not the message you want your body receiving from you. You want your body to be sustained enough where it knows that it's going to get a dose of food and it wont store anything up. I agree with CW you're going to gain weight faster this away.
Have you tried eating half of what you eat? Maybe you should take baby steps first before subjecting your body to a rough diet.

I recently started the EODD Feb 6th. For me it is easier being very careful about what I eat EOD than it is every single day.
In the past when I start watching what I eat....I would no doubt binge. And that would discourage me and I would quit.
The EODD is simple. Eat 300 to 400 calories plus 40 grams of protein. If you exercise then you need 300 to 400 calories plus 60 grams of protein. That is PLUS the PROTEIN in addition to the 300 to 400 calories. This is called an "OFF" day. Meaning OFF FOOD. But not really, you do get plenty of protein and that helps to keep up the energy.
Then EOD I eat what I want, but within reason. Being careful not to over indulge. Some days when I work out I may eat 2500 calories. I think that this EODD is working for me because I know that tomorrow I can have a peice of chocolate if I want. Or That hamburger. Or that burrito. But don't get me wrong you still need to watch what you eat. A woman needs at leat 1200 calories on the "ON" days.
For instance today I went to Wendy's for lunch with my husband and got a Jr. Bacon cheese burger, side salad, and mandarin oranges with a diet coke for a total of 470 calories. I got online and looked at he restaurants nutrition and made my decision before I left the house of what I was going to order, to stop the impulse ordering. LOL
I believe that it is working for me. I have lost 8.5 pounds in 15 days. I have also joined the caloriecount.com to help keep track of the food nutrition that I eat. So that is also helping me. Try it. It is a great tool.
My OFF day food consists of cabbage and carrot soup made with chicken boullion. 10 boild egg whites (no yolks). Some days I stir the raw egg whites into the soup. But I prefer them seperate from the soup. 18 ounces of Tomatoe juice or v8 juice. Pickles and hot pepper rings. Coffee. Diet Sodas. And sugar free jello. I don't sit down to a real meal on this day, but I do sit down and enjoy eat bite or drink.
The first 2 OFF days was somewhat hard because I craved sweets. But a packet of splenda saved me from that. Since then I eat the jello as my bedtime snack, because it is usually while watching tv that I want to snack. And jello has helped that.
You can come up with your own foods that you like and combinations of such for your OFF days. use the caloriecount.com to help you make good decisions. good luck. The EODD is not for everybody.

This sounds like an awful diet. Too complicated, hard to stick with and not very healthy. Recent studies have found that people who drink diet soda are more likely to gain weight than those who don't drink them. Jello isn't really a food it's a sweet and the sugar free just means you are consuming seom chemical sweetner.
Here's a real tip for you - cut out all sweets and in four days you'll lose your craving for sweets. A healthy well balanced diet of whole foods, veggies, fruits and lean meats, combined with a good exersize program and active life style will serve you far better.
