Does anyone have any experience with the whole concept of sprouting what we eat? I'm just starting in to this. For instance, apparently if you sprout your beans before cooking them, that eliminates the "gas and digestive" problems and increases the nutrients. I'm working on sprouting some beans right now. Also, I've read that sprouted flours are superb on a nutrition level to cook with.
Know anything about this? Any experiences or recipes you could share?
I've done a lot of bean sprouting in the past. And alfalfa sprouts as well.
Be sure to research which ones need to be cooked before you eat them, so can't be eaten just raw.
It's fun. : )

Have you ever tried cooking sprouted beans? I've eaten regular sprouts before, love them....but I've been reading about sprouting your beans and grains before eating them and how it increases the nutrients and makes them more digestible.
Yeah, I've done mung beans, kidney beans, lentils...etc. I usually sauté them in a pan, like in a stir fry. Or you can steam them and put them over a salad. The sprouted lentils are really good.

Hmm, interesting. I'm really eager to try them cooked. Mine are mostly navy beans. It was my first time trying so if I'm successful I'll definitely try some lentils. I'm really enjoying watching them sprout. haha!!
