    Unhappy Sick after workouts

So, over the past while I've been trying to lose some weight. Reducing my portion sizes, eating healthier and working out. I work out approximately every other day for an 1hr on the eliptical burning between 700-800 calories (according to the calorie counter). I tend to workout in the evening a couple of hours after dinner. -> This is the only convenient time for me. But, frequently afterwards I feel quite nauseous. I'm assuming this is because of a drop in my sugar level... so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of a light but slightly caloric snack that will help me feel better after my workout but not affect my progress on the scale?

    Thanks!

You need carbs and protein right after. So a slice of whole wheat bread and hard boiled egg would be good. Or a big glass of skim milk, or even chocolate milk (for the sugars).
Try to get that in within 30 minutes of the end of your workout.

Thanks Sourpuss, you're always such a great support. I just wanted to make sure though that having that glass milk, hardboiled egg or slice of bread won't negate my dietary progress as I usually go to bed within an hour or two after my workout.

Nah, you're body needs that to rebuild what you break down during your workout. I like to have a piece of whole wheat toast with fat free cottage cheese on it. It's less than 200 calories and about 15-20 g of protein.
