BD... I feel the exact same way. However, I came to the conclusion a while ago, that all I have to do is remember HOW crappy I feel after and I don't bother with the stuff. I can't. I have insane bowels anyways and any fast food aggravates them beyond belief. I'd rather save myself the pain. Case in point... I had some fries from In N Out a few months ago. Anyone who has ever eaten at In N Out knows it is the BEST EVER. I felt like caca pooey immediately after. It's just no longer even worth it for me, the feeling after wards, nothing.

So, if I need to indulge, I indulge in a 'better' manner. Make something at home, that you wouldn't necessarily do normally, it will be healthier regardless, more than likely anyways. Nachos, grill up a burger on a Foreman grill real quick, buy chicken tenders from the store, season them up and bake em (Hint: if you spray the bottom of the sheet with Pam and spray the top of the food with Pam, they bake up really really crispy, a healthy fry I call it). My favorite, a grilled turkey sandwich with pepperjack.

It's all mental, it's just getting past that mentality that is a beyotch. If all else fails, a small cone or hot fudge sundae from DQ.

    Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
    Amen

Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.

What really concerns me is what we, (humans) allow to be sprayed and injected into that which we
find nourishing and filling. The chemicals sprayed on plants, some seeds actually contain things that have been
placed by us, that will aid in growth and a pesticide. Then our dairy products that contain anti-biotics, and growth
hormones, much like the beef , pork, and chicken..etc.. we eat. These kinds of things are a growing concern of mine...
Let alone the run off into our water systems, that then go into our homes and ultimately into US..!! What will all of this cause to the generations to come. As we know.. Cause and Effect.. we are a part of the living things on the earth and we depend on it, yet look at how we treat it..? I could go on and on, (oil spills......) but i am pushing off of the initial subject..
There is no doubt that it is a scary thought however the reality of reality is that one cannot escape this. Growing your own food is a good decision as you get to decide what fertilizer (like manure) gets put onto the foods, but there is no decision about underneath due to the leaching of minerals from surrounding soil. Organic foods from markets seem to be popping up in the news due to the research saying that they are not completely avoiding all herbicides and pesticides. Science can provide countless documents about allowable concentrations of anti-biotics, why they are used, and how they do benefit us however there is the part of people simply not liking the idea of eating medicine meat. Its all bitter sweet. Unless the 6 billion people on earth go all 'tree-hugger' there may not be a way to prevent the slow demise of the planet. Really quite sad.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
