Default Your Favorite "Good for you" Snacks??

My post on Vitatops made me wonder if anyone else has any yummy prepackaged snacks that they like? I don't want to border on soliciting, but I am always trying to find something yummy. If you have any favorite snacks that are easily transportable, what are they? Why do you like them? I am looking for things with about 200 calories or less AND some protein or fiber or both to help keep me satisfied longer.

I eat fruit quite a bit too (especially apples and bananas) and yogurts, but I am always on the hunt for things to mix it up a bit. I found Vitatops through a friend of mine, and I find referrals are generally the most tasty

My lifesaver, every afternoon, I have a piece of string cheese, wrapped with a slice of low sodium turkey breast. 95 calories and 9.5 grams of protein.

    My fall backs:
Celery sticks with peanut butter (they have those little portable peanut butter cups now)
    Hardboiled egg

Oh and I almost ALWAYS have a banana within reach, but mostly I stick with the string cheese and turkey.

I like to keep some blue corn torillas (or white corn) in the fridge and a can of vegetarian refried beans in the pantry ... for a great and filling afternoon snack I'll spread 1/4 cup of those beans ( 60 cals) on a 50 cal corn tortilla and microwave just enough to warm it, then add some salsa or tomatoes and lettuce for a cheap and easy roughly 120 calorie mini-meal... sometimes I'll throw some reduced fat cheese on there if I have room in my calories for lil snack that is still under 200 calories.

A couple of morning star (vegetarian) sausages (just 80 cals for 2) and 90 calorie waffle/ sugar free syrup make for another under 200 calorie snack/mini meal I enjoy.

Or I will treat myself to a semi-desert coffee with soy milk and splenda and a little tablespoon of that flavored creamer stuff for about 60 cals

Bananas are great to have a round for a quick low fat low calorie filler upper, same with grapefruit and strawberries

If i'm going to be naughty I go for a recees peanut butter cup only 100 cals for just one of them in the pack.. or going on ahead with the 2 for 200 calories, pretty empty but at least they have 5 grams of protein so if your gonna 'cheat' on a snack... thats not the worst one.

Cucumbers dipped in soy sauce/sweetchilli sauce or sirachi, edamame or celery dipped in the same.

Warm up some green beans with onion and fake bacon...

Those are some of my favorite little indulgences that are cheap, quick, low calorie and more nutricious some other alternatives for snacks like chips or twinkies :P

KM--Oooo I DO love some laughing cow wedges. I eat mine on pretzel chips. I have 5 pretzel chips and one laughing cow cheese wedge for 85 calories YUM.

HD--Thanks for the wonderful mini-meal suggestions. I just picked up some high fiber waffles the other day that are like 70 cals a piece and have a lot of fiber in them. YUM.

LB-I totally love some String Cheese. I don't do the turkey with it (maybe I should) but I do like to sit there and I can make a piece of string cheese last 10 minutes if I work it right lol

My hardest issue and why I get the Vitatops, yogurts, etc is that I am away from home a lot with school. There are sooo many temptations at work that I like to keep things that are ready prepared or pre-packaged to run to when the cookies, donuts, and other misc crappy foods show up.

Oooo I also just remembered these Kashi Fruit Pumpkin Bar things I got last week. They're like 120 cals and SOOO yummy if you like Pumpkin Spiced things. I think they taste TOTALLY like a dessert but I feel like Kashi stuff really keeps me fuller than a run-of-the-mill granola bar since they tend to have more protein and fiber as well.

Prunes. Low calorie, sweet tasting, and packed with fiber.
