Wow thanks for the advice. Yes it is very tough being on campus, there is literally nothing healthy... options range from fried chicken, gross stir fry with tons of oil, disgusting pasta, breads, huge 1000 calorie subs, fries, burgers, etc. I try to get the healthiest things but really we get two options every day (either pasta, or the "home cooked" which is like meat and potatoes and rice). I definitely eat a LOT healthier than any of the others here, who get late night waffles loaded with syrup or burritos with disgusting hash browns eggs ketchup meat... ew.
I suppose I will be fine if I eat when I'm hungry and don't eat too much, and aim for healthy things. I do have to consider what they add to the food but we have no nutrition information (I asked them) so that's difficult.
I think only eating when you are hungry could be just as unhealthy as eating til you're stuffed... you should probably also try to make sure you have designated meals... ESPECIALLY breakfast (which is essential to kickstarting your metabolism for the day). Simply eating when you are hungry, in times of being stressed out or extremely busy/distracted ... could lead you to going hours without nutrient consumption which can wreak havoc on your metabolism and lead to binge eating and becoming careless of quantity/quality of what your consuming due to shear hunger.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
