Im thinking about going on the Banana diet, ive been looking on the internet for research and it says that you should only do it once a month or 2 days running.. is there a risk if i was to it for 5 days?

For what it's worth I think this is a terrible idea. What's the point of going on a banana diet (or lemon detox, also very popular) if you're just going to go back to your regular food intake afterward?

I don't see any benefits of doing this. If you want to "cleanse" your body then eat more veggies, drink more water, and take a vitamin supplement if you're missing something.

I think all "diets" like banana, potato, lemon, whatever, are useless.

I totally 100% agree with Mes. There are ways to lose weight and he healthy in the short term AND long term. You may lose weight from not getting enough calories to support your body, but when you start eating real food again you'll gain it back and then some.

I would very strongly discourage any type of diet like you have described.

My daughter, who was about 10 years old at the time, asked me if I knew what "Diet" stood for?

Of course, I had no idea and told her so. She replied "Dumb Idiots Eat This"!! I don't know where she heard it or if she made it up, but it sure has shown to be true for all the years since she said it.

The ONLY way to a healthier you is through lifestyle changes that you can adopt for the rest of your life.

I completely agree! I have try sooo many of these short term diets and none of them work. I end up going back to the same eating habits! Now I am looking the bigger picture by doing it the right way which is portion control, eatting more veggies& fruits and more exercise. I stopped weighing myself every chance I get because all it does is discourages me when I see no change on the scale.

sorry but i think it's a bad idea , correct me if i'm wrong but , but do you mean by banana diet is to eat only banana for certain period?
if so i think you may suffer from diarrhoea as eating banana help in treating constipation , what if taking it for along time.
