hi, i have recently converted to veganism & although i feel refreshed with my new lifestyle, i am finding it difficult to shop for organic food on a budget. i am a college student with a shallow pocket book, so this is a little discouraging. any vegans out there tht have any tips or tricks for cooking a vegan diet in a low income household? any comments are appreciated.
:)

Vegans don't only have to eat organic food, although it is much healthier if you do.
Do you have an organic box scheme in your area? This is where once a week you recieve a box filled with fresh, local, organic fruit and veg and it's usually cheaper than relying on a supermarket.
Do you eat much tinned food or frozen food at all? If you don't mind foods not being organic, frozen veg is very cheap and great because it doesn't go off.
Tinned foods are a fantastic source of cheap foods such as pulses (types of beans, chickpeas etc) and things such as tinned tomatoes which can be used for pasta sauces, soups and other things.
