Hello there, I have just recently started juicing and it's hard to find recipes that are good as well as nutritious. I have been juicing for a little over a week now and noticed my Blood pressure is back in the normal range, Woohoo! I only juice for 2 meals and have a balanced 3rd. I snack between with all of the fruits and veggies I have around for juicing. Is there anyone else out there that is doing this? I would love to hear stories and maybe a great recipe that you've tried. Well have a wonderful day and remember, just Breathe!

My mother made juice for the family. She has a masticating Juicer and uses it every day. She uses a lot of carrots, buys them in 10 pound bags. She usually adds red beets, apples, kale and ginger root. The whole family (except me) drinks a big glass every day. I didn't get much of it because I'm diabetic and it spiked my blood glucose pretty bad.

Sometimes she made fruit juice with local fruits. It was so good but again, I didn't get much because of the sugar.

Lol! Aaahhahaha, I seriously didn't read this thread at first because I thought it would be about something else. That's too funny that it's literally about juicing fruits and veggies. I was sure it would be about using steroids, and I was waiting to be in the right state of mind before I read it. I wasn't prepared.

I've thought about doing that, mostly for the kids. How's the flavor and texture of your drink turn out?

The juice from the masticating juicer has very little fiber left in it. The juice comes out the bottom hole and the almost dry pulp out the other. After juicing mom strained the juice through a medium mesh strainer then put it in a bottle and refrigerated it until it was cold. The juice was clear with a very little sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Us kids liked the flavor, like I said I wasn't allowed very much so it was a treat for me.
