    Smile Green Tea Drinkers

I was wondering if anyone has seen a difference in their mood, energy level, and weight since drinking green tea? I started drinking green tea two days ago for energy and since then have read a lot of articles on the natural healing powers of green tea and that it might actually increase your metabolism. After two days of drinking 5 or more big cups of tea a day; I can say I definitively feel less bloated. What's your opinion on green tea?

I'm a huge fan! I usually drink around 3 or 4 cups per day, either plain or with a drop of honey. It is a natural diuretic, so I do find myself peeing every 15 minutes while drinking it, but it definitely keeps me from being bloated. I love coffee, but green tea is much much easier on my stomach too. And I do feel like it generally gives me more energy, rather than the temporary jolt and subsequent crash I get from coffee.

Thats an interesting effect of green tea. I drink maybe six cups a day and don't find that at all. Coffee and black tea are diuretics too and I find they affect me more than green tea.

What kind are you drinking? I drink tea bags with a dash of lemon/lime so no added sugar. Always hot. I don't like it chilled and the stuff you can buy in bottles has so much sugar in it it would blow any diet away!!

For me, it is also non addictive. When I was drinking the same amount of black tea and then couldn't have it, I always developed headaches for several days. Green tea doesn't do that to me at all. I don't find any other differences though.

I drink regular in the morning and decaf at night. The regular kind is just some cheapo brand from Walmart and the decaf one is Lipton's. It was the only brand that had decaf. Anyways, most of the time I drink it without any sweetener, but sometimes I add a little honey for flavor. I got the decaf because I was worried I would be drinking too much caffeine and I drink coffee in the morning.

Green tea is amazing. But that's just the tip of the herbal tea iceberg! I drink fennel, peppermint, nettle, dandelion, ginger, and many many more. Dandelion is extremely healthy. Bitter to start with but you get used to it quickly and it is a coffee substitute.. After drinking herbal teas for so long now, I don't even touch normal tea or coffee.

I would say green tea is the best. I lost weight FAST! after giving birth by just alternating between water and green tea. I lost about 12kg.
