Okay, so that clears up a little bit. So, its already in the unpasteurized organic apple cider vinegar that I've been taking. I just didn't know and pay much attention to it - is that right? LOL.
Sorry it took me so long to respond cat.I pulled this explanation from a website that sells acv:
"Mother" is formed naturally in unpasteurized vinegar by the acetobacter. The "Mother" in Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother is the dark, cloudy substance found in the vinegar formed from naturally occurring pectin and apple residues. It appears as molecules of protein connected in strand-like chains. The presence of the mother shows that the best part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to over processing, filtration and overheating. "Mother" is formed naturally by the bacteria in unpasteurized vinegar.
I buy the Orange All Natural (naturally sweetened as well) drink powder packets (I believe they are Hansens brand) and have been making myself a large glass (like a Large if you were at a fast food joint) filled with water, 2 tablespoons of the ACV, 2 packets of the orange powder and I can't taste the ACV at all. The tanginess of the orange really compliments the ACV. Very enjoyable.

What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are but how you deal with incompatibility. - Leo Tolstoy
The clearest explanation for failure of any marriage is that two people are incompatible; that is, one is male and the other female. - Anna Quindlen

Lots of claims and unproven benefits of ACV (assuming that it's not been pasteurized and filtered). Don't worry about the erosion of your enamel as long as you swish and rinse with plain water after consuming it.
As for "local" honey, you really have to consume honey "locally" from your own backyard to realize the benefits of "local honey". If you're just buying it from a local beekeeper in your town, then the bees probably aren't polinating the plants that bother your sinuses.
Have you ever tried consuming bee pollen? Most beekeepers collect pollen too and you can sprinkle that on your cereal, etc. Whether you get any benefit or not depends on how close the beekeeper and their bees are to your home.
As for sinus allergies and sinus problems, a Neti Pot works wonders and are available at any local pharmacy or big box retailer like Wal-Mar*. No need to buy the little packets of salt once the included ones run out. A 1/2 teaspoon of table salt works just fine.
Never ever rinse your sinuses using plain water...it can be pretty uncomfortable.
Be careful of online marketing like this and also be careful of any claims to patents of natural ingredients as you cannot patent an actual natural ingredient so if there is a mentioned patent it is actually a synthetic lab made product. Descriptions like this are filled with big words that are there to have a customer not question whether it is legit or not they just read it and think "oh boy big words this must be good for me". Also if it mentions anything involving the word "cures _____!!!!!!" or anything of that nature begin first by rolling your eyes, it is a marketing method to make a product seem better than it actually is. Also ignore the bottom of the page 'first hand accounts' saying things like "it changed my life!!!", "I bought my ACV from _____ (complete with registered trademark) and never looked back I am the best I have ever been thanks to this method!"...you know...selling statements lol. As well ignore the "reference" material that links to any blogs, personal account websites, affiliate selling groups, affiliate products, non-research etc. A lot of these hollistics methods are based on snake oil salesmen, be very careful and take it as merely something that could help (mostly due to placebo effects) not something that will definitely help."Mother" is formed naturally in unpasteurized vinegar by the acetobacter. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
ACV is something I first heard about through my great grandmother (who lived to be in her 90's) and then my grandma (who is currently 88) as something they used religiously for various ailments and to improve overall physical health. I do not depend on random internet blogs to obtain my information. In effort to explain "mother", I did use an internet source because the words made more sense than my own in trying to explain. However, I wouldn't consider it online marketing as every piece of information you can kind explaining mother says the same thing. The first thing my mom said when I told her I was starting to use it was "Did you get the unpasteurized kind with mother??"
The first thing I did before deciding to try this was research medical journals to see if I could find any reason NOT to try it. I didn't find any reason not to.
Keep in mind, no one in this thread indicated in any way that ACV is a "Miracle Cure". No one quoted any blog postings. Just a simple discussion.![]()

SA - I have not tried bee pollen. My allergies are to dogs and mold and slightly to grass pollen. I do, however, use a Neti Pot (I bought non-iodized sea salt to use with mine...cheap and efficient) religiously and can definitely sing it's praises.
