Unhappy Naussea when eating

I have always been small, I am 5'1" and have weighed around 110 for the past 5-6 years. I have also always loved food and usually eat around 5 meals per day. However, for the past few months I have not been able to eat much. I get really hungry, my stomach growls and everything, but when i start eating i feel sick. i feel like if i eat another bite i will puke. so i just stop eating. So all day everyday I am so hungry but i just cant eat. Two days ago someone made a comment to me that i was really skinny, it wasnt anything out of the ordinary b/c i am skinny, but i decided to weigh myself. I lost 10 pounds recently. I am not trying to lose weight, im not working out, im not doing anything differently except i cant get full when i eat. I am afraid to go to a doctor b/c the last time i went i received huge bills that my insurance wouldn't pay for. Someone please help me. What can i do to stop feeling sick when i eat? i dont want to lose anymore weight.

Is there a health clinic anywhere near wher you live that you could visit? Maybe make payment arrangments up front? Oh, I doubt anyone can really give you good advice...it sounds like something only a doctor could look into for you....
Are you really under alot of stress right now, or really depressed over anything? Major life changes? Hmmmm....Good luck to you...sorry I don't have any better advice!

I am very stressed right now. I just broke up with my boyfriend of three years, and i was doing ok with it but then he started calling me saying hes sorry and he loves me and wants me back. I cant take him back though because i dont trust him. plus im seeing this other guy and im stressing over him b/c i think its still too soon but i cant end it with him b/c i really like him. also theres ALOT of stress from work. Im getting the ****ty schedules while everyone else gets what they want, plus there's so much drama going on there that i cant handle it anymore. i just may be depressed. i know my problem is probably just nerves, but it just makes everything worse to be hungry 24/7 and not able to eat.

Nicole,

Stress will cause you to lose your appetite ... I know this for sure!!!
I've had a change happen in my life that really stressed me out, and I noticed I lost A LOT of weight (without trying to).

Another thing: do you think you might be pregnant? Sometimes loss of appetite can be a symptom; however, do your very best to see a doctor. Whether it's a physical or psychological change, you need to know what to do.... loss of appetite isn't good at all. You need nourishment to keep you going.

Please see someone about this. Post again soon and let us know how you're doing.

Default Thanks for the help

Thanks for your help and concern. I know some of it has to do with stress, but I didn't really have a loss of appetite. I was extremely hungry, I just couldn't eat enough to fill me up. I have been doing better tho. Today I had a sub from blimpie and ate the whole 6" plus a bag of chips. and I didnt feel sick afterwards. It kind of comes and goes now, but I htink that is a sign that it is going away. I know i am not pregnant though. I was tested last time i went to the doctor and I havent had sex since then. Anyway, thanks again for your help!

Most certainly your appetite has been affected with the stress you are undergoing through.

i would advice you to avoid eating alone and consider always having your meals in company with other people. This might perhaps boost you to have an extra spoon or two. Indeed you cant continue without feeding your body.

Similar to what Jubes asked you; is it probable that you are pregnant? Make effort to have a pregnancy test done soon. It could be tthe cause for your wanting to puke whenever you try to eat.

Take care of yourself

Good to see you were able to eat!

Majolove has a good point when she says try to eat in the company of others. Sometimes, that really does help you eat just a little bit more than eating alone.

The company of others also helps you to see your situation from a different point of view, thus allowing you to see things more rationally and can prove to be a rather encouraging environment!

It's good to talk things over a meal. You can get as many perspectives as you have people joining you for dinner! LOL
