Default Breast lift after weight loss?

Hi! I am 23 years old and I have lost about 30 pounds. I am hoping to lose another 25 to 30 more. My breasts really have shrunk and I am just wondering if anyone has gotten a breast lift done...my husband and I talked about it and I cant do anything until we are done having kids. I did breast feed my daughter for 2 months so that probably didn't help. I just hate looking at myself in the mirror or at least at my breats. They are saggy and I cant find a bra to fit me properly. I tried victoria secret and they measured me but I fall out of all the bras because I just have lost my volume in them. I am just asking for opinions...Thanks!!!

Hi Nevaehs Mommy,

I'd reccommend waiting until you are at the weight you plan to be at, then waiting longer to make sure it doesn't fluctuate much before looking into the procedure as once you get it done, drastic changes to your wieght will have an effect on the look.

I say if you want to do it, and are in a position to do it, research surgeons , find one that has done the procedure many many times and view their work, go have a few consultations with a at least 2 or 3 doctors so that you can get a feel for which one would be best suited to you.

Definitely get your weight where you want it. Breastfeeding shouldn't be a factor in this, but pregnancy is. I Nursed each of my kids over 3 years and when I got my weight where I wanted my breasts were fine. Start working out and getting well toned. At your age your body should bounce back fairly well. Why not look into a MUFA diet? That is supposed to help you drop the bad fat w/o losing the good - rumor has it that unlike other diets you don't lose your boobs first.

I do have a family member who got a lift in her early 40s. She got her weight under control first and works out regularly. She has been pleased with the result.

I heard that toning the muscles under your chest really helps and gives you a natural lift. I've never had kids myself but have lost a lot of weight (about 80lbs) and then gained it back (unfortunately) but am currently working to lose the weight once more (so far I think I've dropped about 15lbs) when I first lost the weight I did notice that my breast mass shrunk but the skin didn't as much but once I started to work my pectorals, my breasts began to feel more firm and didn't seem to have such a severe droop. I'm only 22 so it was fairly depressing to lose all the weight and then not have the shape I wanted, but this time around I'm working my chest more and so far I haven't noticed any sag (though my breasts have started to some what shrink)

Just thought that I'd throw this in there. Sometimes doing butterfly curls (I believe that is what they are called) with dumbells will give your breasts a natural lift. I find the best way to do that excersize is to lay on your back on a weight bench or on the floor and slowly move the dumbells out and across your chest area. There are connective tissues that weaken when they are not used that add to the 'droop' factor.

Just thought I'd throw that idea out there as a possible alternative to plastic surgery. Kaytkayt and Wildchild are right about working out. You'd be surprised as to how your body will bounce back, especially at the young age of 23!!!
