Unhappy Tummy Tuck

I am 28 years old. I had a brachiolplasty (arm lift) done in 2005. I lost close to 100 lbs (85) between the age of about 16 1/2 and 18. I gained a significant amount of weight in about 2-3 years of childhood (went from 140 to 225 lbs). I absolutely hate my stomach. I weigh 145. I work out 4-5 days a week. I'm a size 6/8 but my stomach is not flat bc of the skin and when I bend over for yoga classes etc, I am embarassed knowing my skin is hanging down

Is there anything I can do to fix this short of tummy tuck? I thought maybe I should try to lose another 10-15 lbs to see if that resolves it but i've been down to 137 at my thinnest and it didn't do much. I am currently trying P90X and using some expensive creams.

People tell me to wait till I have kids but I haven't had a longterm relationship in close to 3 years, I am working a TON and going to school and well, I dont' even know if I want kids so I don't want to wait 10 years to find out. I wish I'd done it in 2005.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Especially from people in similar situations? How long is the surgery recovery if you don't need Muscle reconstruction?

Question

Anyone? Anyone that knows someone that had been through the surgery? Or that has been through it themselves? Or maybe thought about it and decided not to? I'd just love to get some honest thoughts on the procedure in lieu of just reading about how it works online because as someone who has already been through one surgery, I know it's never exactly like they say and found outside tips/opinions very helpful when making that decision.

Thanks!

Hi ky, see the surgeon that did your brachioplasty... he will be able to tell you if he thinks your condition is one that exercise will remedy or not. If its been 10 years since you lost the weight and the skin is still there... chances are its not going to snap back. But see a few different doctors to get their opinions as that surgery is a very very invasive one.
