Default Over seas plastic surgery?

With all the controversy in the US these days about going over seas to get cosmetic surgery, I wonder where you ladies stand in the matter? Many women will go anywhere for plastic surgery just for the sake of saving money or because they were denied by a US doctor. So I have some questions for you and I would like to hear from ladies in the US as well as different countries...

Do you agree with seeking out overseas surgeons to save money? Do you think it is risky? Would you do it?

Have any of you had any experience with this or know of anyone who has? Was it a good or bad experience? Was it worth it?

Thanks ladies! I think this might be helpful to a lot of women who are considering over seas plastic surgery.

Default Mixed feelings

My mom went to South America (her native country) and had a few things done. Lots of people go to ecuador and columbia to sav ethe money. The problem is that the post op could be a very long procedure. If something like an infection happens, you would have no one to turn to. In addition, no one to blame. My mom had a reduction and had a part of her severly ruined. Yet, she is planning to go get ANOTHER procedure done but says she will research her Dr. a little better this time. glutten for punishment? Well, its my mom....so I hope not. But personally....I would stay in the state to ensure that if there are ANY mistakes....someone would be help responsible.

Thumbs down Out of Country surgeries

My sister has been considering leaving the country for plastic surgery. I've been doing all I can to change her mind. It's too dangerous, what if something happens, & how do you know if you are dealing with an actual doctor or not.
A few years ago "a friend" had her go to this out of country doctor's "office in the states" for a consultation. When she arrived to the address she was horrified to learn that the doctor's office was a converted garage. Of course she left but unfortunetly she did not learn her lesson. She just said she will have to do more research.

Default Cosmetic surgery my best experience ever!

Hi my name is Beyana I went to Bolivia with Makeover Travel a medical organization, I can say it my decision was made because of one special thing THE SURGICAL GUARANTEE , that made me feel safe, when I went to their web site I was very impressed by the incredible web site.

Anothe thing wich helped me to take my decision was to see that they are the team wich prepare Misses for International conquests as Miss Universe, I couldnt belive it until I was there.

Belive me going over seas is not bad always you know everything is safe, to me there were no lies at all in their web site, all was as they described it, pictures, doctors, everything.

You will see, the fear always stop pople from doing thing which can improve their lifes dont let it stop you or your sister.

Default My experience overseas!

I am Kimberly Sanders from Us, it is true that going overseas can be risky but there are places to go where is safe and have a lot of experience, personally I made my research during 6 months to chose the right medical tourism destination, I visited many forums on the web and I believe that going to bolivia with Makeover Travel was the best decision.

There are many medical tourism companies in South America, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Brazil, I know many of them,I know how do they work, what do they offer, of course that at the begining most of them give you a good answer but I chose Makeover Travel basically because since the moment I wrote I received a very professional and quick answer, they gave me my surgeon cv,information about the clinics, everything, I mean they are not only a Medical Tourism Operatior, they work with Local Models, misses, artists, and media people, they dont lie at all because when I was there, I went to a dinner with 8 patients from Australia, Canada , Spain, US, also local patients and 3 Internacional Models, we went to the Camba`s House, very tipical restaurant there, I will never forget that long night, full of laugh and great stories!

Well, now I think that they are really busy, Miss Universe will be next week in Mexico city, I think Miss Bolivia have a good chance to win because she has an amazing body, and she is also very clever, we spoke many times when I was there and we became good friends, so I hope she wins!

As Beyana, my experience was very nice, I went there for breast implants, neck lift, tummy tuck, and gluteoplasty, but it wasnt painfull at all , they gave me good medicines for pain, so I dindt suffer.

As you can see not all the stories are terrible stories, there are some like mine very nice and with a happy end.

My happy end is that now I have a new life, when I arrived here my husband almost cry to see me so beautiful and happy, now there are 5 friends who have gone to Bolivia and also my mother and my sister, they came back totally different, their changes were as good and amazing as mine, now they have another reason to smille in the life!

So I hope this experience can be useful, it doesnt mean that going overseas is not risky but you have to be sure where and with who are you going.

My advice is that if you are thinking to go overseas, go with Makeover Travel to Bolivia, you will have no regrets, you will see!

Default I'm currently searching for an oversea MD

Wow (pause) maybe it's better to not do this cuz I have no idea who to trust. I suspect that there's people that give positives stories about their surgery or about their doctor and they generally put "links" all over their emails.......these are the type to be a little more suspicious of. Because the receive "kickbacks" for referring the MD. Anyone care to offer some input?

Greatly appericated!
Cindy

Cindy, everybody is free to do or not to do something, but sometimes to listen is a good quality, you never know unless you try!

My dear Tracy, the average prices I found are between 699 dollars and 750 dollars.

The prices are amazing, I think that you can have an idea if you copare that here in the U.S. with an excellent surgeon you pay more or less 7000 dollars for a breast augmentation and in Bolivia you pay for the same surgery and all include(transportation, personal assistant, stay...)between 2950 and 2700 dollars as I remember.

You can go to see their prices, just go to their website.

always happy to help!
