Default To Young for a Breast Reduction

Okay so I'm just wanting some honest opinions here.

    So I'm 19, almost 20.
    I weigh about 150.
    I am a 34 DDD.

I constantly have back aches if I stand to long at a time. And lord knows my back aches after I go on a run.

I am strongly considering getting a breast reduction. I think this will greatly ease my back pains.

I also think that it'll make me look significantly slimmer. (I'm in college this matters :] )

I don't really know if this idea is completely out of question because I am so young.

    What are your opinions???

I had a reduction 27 and It was such a relief to me. I had Double FF's and a G at one time and I weighed about 150 when I had the procedure. I wish I would of done it earlier but I couldnt afford it. At 18 I was 103 pounds and Had 34DDD's. I had so many back problems and problems finding clothes being small and having huge boobs. If they cause you alot of problems I would go for it. The only thing I think you should think about is I got my reduction and got put down to a a Double DD. I wish I had told them smaller. I got pregnant 8 months later and my boobs grew almost all the way back. Thats something you might have to think about when you have children later in life. If you get them down to a C or B I dont think you would have to worry about the problem I have. But my posture, my attitude and shopping attitude all got so much better after the reduction!! Good luck!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I can't find any clothes that fit! I wasn't near as small as you were. But I'm still small enough to make me look extremely disproportioned.

You are not too young. If you need a breast reduction, have one. Your age makes no difference. You are in pain, it needs fixing.

i agree if you are in pain have one, im going for a breast reduction consultation in sept and i am 28yrs old and i have been a 42DDD since i was 19yrs old as they got bigger after i had my son, but they are so saggy and causing alot of pain, i think they would be ok if they were more perky, im scared to go for one but all in all i think it would be the best decision

Honestly, in your situation you need to have the reduction surgery as soon as possible. Those aren't just back aches, it is your back slowly transforming due to the weight on the front side of your body. A good friend of mine had breast reduction surgery and she looks and more importantly feels so much better than ever before.

Go for it, if you have back pain they're causing you structural problems with your spine and need fixing.

I don't think you are too young at all. I am 22 and have 34HH breasts and I am seriously considering one. I know firsthand how large breasts can effect your confidence/ choice of clothes and they can be agony on your back! So I would say if you are sure, go for it.

If they think its okay for women to get breast implants at your age, I don't see why reduction would be out of the question. It all comes down to you being a good candidate for the surgery, healthy, and so on. Why not make a consultation appointment with a FEW (don't just take one doctors advice) make consults with a handful of surgeons and get their opinion of what kind of result you can expect, if the surgery would do what you want it to do etc... and then read up a much as you can about the procedure , after you get their consults... and then make an informed decision.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
