    Default nose job?

Ever since 5th grade I have been so self-conscious about my larger nose. To add to it, in about 6th grade I received a mole right on the tip of my nose from the sun. I went to the dermatologist and had it tested to make sure it wasn't skin cancer and thankfully it wasn't. But that didn't make it any more attractive being right in the middle of my face. Not to mention, there was now a small hole in my nose from where the doctor took the biopsy. I was told the hole would fill in and the mole would be virtually invisible over time. Five years later and neither of which is true. They are both as visible as ever, adding to my insecurity of my larger nose. I am 20 years old and am finally considering taking care of my largest insecurity. I realize that this is a very personal decision and I need to make it on my own, I am just looking for pros and cons and maybe some experience stories and suggestions/advice

thank you all in advance for your input

    Hi
I posted a thread and also no reply re non surgical nose job!!! Maybe nose jobs dont get too much attention around here-
I have been considering one for a long time recently I heard about Radiesse - not sure if its any good or if i can get it where I live even but had hoped for some advice.
I had recently received a leaflet from a surgery clinic heres the info on it maybe this will help:
procedure infor very direct, everything you would expect in surgery, most patients can return home after one day- you must refrain fro physical exercise for 4 to 6 weeks avoiding contact sports for 2 to 3 months, some possible complications include infection, bleeding, possibility of more surgery etc.
hope thats a bit of helpful info but as I havent had it done (yet haha ) myself I cant give first hand experience.....
if you feel you would enjoy your life more after having it done and be more comfortable to live your life the way you want to thengo for it- but look in to it, find a good surgeon and get lots of info and advice and only do it if you are 100% sure.
    Best of luck

    Hi selfconcious9125,

I know many people look down on plastic surgery, but I think it is not always that bad. I agree with the post above that if you feel you would enjoy and be more comfortable in your life to have it done then you can look into it. I know from experience of having very low self-esteem what it is like to find a flaw of yourself, and how it can really torture you inside. So if it can make yourself feel better then I don't look down on that. Just make sure you really research it and get more advice. And make sure you really want to do this. I know you probably have heard this a lot, but it is important, because you cannot go back. Also, one thing to consider. I heard the the human body does not stop growing still until your early twenties, and so some doctors may not recommend it until you are a bit older. So please look that up also to make sure that it is safe for someone your age. I would hate for you to have complications later because your face is still changing a bit after the surgery.

    I wish you the best
    你好

I hated my nose as far back as i can remember, I also hated my breasts. I was determined on a nose and breast surgery. But over time I fell in love and grew to love my body as much as my husband does. My nose and small breast still bother me but being out of school and getting older made me realize i was to hard on my self. I was the only person who cared about it.

I say this bc I think we woman... And men can be our worst critics. Give it some time before you make a dramatic change. You could be changing a characteristic that really makes you beautiful, and different than others. If in time you are positive that you want this, than go for it girl!
