Hello everyone,

My period was due 2 1/2 weeks ago. My period usually comes like clockwork so I knew something was up. After one week, I took an HPT and it came back negative. I've been sleepy, have slight headaches and have had discharge... no breast soreness, just some itchiness in bras I used to find comfortable.

I am not undergoing any extra stress, nor am I anorexic/bulemic, nor obese.

Early this morning, I took another HPT and it came back negative again (I've read that some people have undetectably low levels of Hcg - who knows?!?) BUT, this afternoon, I've had some traces of dark red in my discharge.

I have a Planned parenthood appt in 3 days, but does anyone have any idea what's going on? Has this happened to you?

okay so the spotting has turned into a full out period... Now my concern is whether or not to go to the hospital?
Im just watching to make sure I dont bleed too heavily at this point...

Is it like your normal period?

i just had the same symptoms with my most previous cycle. i have counted my cycle monthly since i was fourteen and i am 23 now. it was always ranging from 26 to 31 and nothing more or nothing less. This past month myperiod showed up after 47 longs days of counting and watching a calendar. i went to my obgyn and she said that my hormone levels were higher than normal, and that sometimes causes you to have the same symptoms of pregnancy. but if the visit will not cost you, it is always good to get a check up. you can never be too concerned about your body. bring every question to your doctor that you can think of. they are there to answer your questions.
