abortion question, please help!
ok so i am not trying to get an abortion but my friend is. first of all i am not trying to convince her to not get one, but she knows absolutely nothing about what is happening and she is not doing any research to figure out if the place she is going to or the surgean is safe. she also doesn't know the risks that could happen. she is planning on going to planned parenthood in roseville california, i just want to know if planned parenthood is safe or if you have heard anything bad or unsafe about it. please help so that i can help her learn more before she goes through with this. thank you
Planned Parenthood is generally expert and from what I've heard they do an excellent job. I used them to get an IUD and had a much better experience than women I know who went to a GYN. She does need make certain that all her questions are answered and she knows what to expect. Like any surgery there are risks - actually generally fewer than with a full term pregnancy. They provide counseling and follow up.
Encourage her to get an adequate form of birth control later. Abortion should be a last resort not a substitute for responsible planning.
Most Planned Parenthood clinics are good - but each of them vary as they all have different doctors and your friend should do her research on those doctors who work there. I advise that you help her to explore all her options before just resorting to abortion. She may later regret ever making that type of a decision.
May i ask how old your friend is......She should check all her options....spend some time looking within herself...some things ...once done can never be undone....
whether to get one or not...is her's to decide...but she should take the time to gain as much knowledge as possable....and decide what is best for her..
If you are young...I hope there is someone in your family you feel you can talk with.
I have a daughter who is pregnate.....and while I am very happy of her decision...
We did sit and talk about her choices...what she wanted...and felt was right for her to do...but at the end of the talking....the decision was still hers to make.....so I shall be a grandpa in feb. something im very excited about.
There are many smart and knowledgable ladies here...if your friend has no one to talk with.....maybe you can get her to come and talk with some.

hey, sorry i didn't say her age, she is 17 right now and she will be 18 if/when the baby is born.
I HAD AN ABORTION AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD 3 WEEKS AGO EVERYTHING WENT WELL I DID THE PILL ABORTION .If she is really sure she wants it done its a good place to go. But she should think about it because i can tell you its the worst feeling in the world.Hope everything goes well
