Default Teen Pregnancy?

I'm 17 and my boyfriend and I usually don't wear protection because we know each other well and I take birth control. Over the past month I've skipped my period, thrown up a lot, and have a posotive home pregnancy test.

Though I have taken three tests (at home) two out of three said + the other said -.

Could I be pregnant?
I'm really scared. My family is heavily Catholic and they don't even know I have sex! If I do end up pregnant I don't know what I'll do! Help?

If you are uncomfortable talking to your parents about what's happening, there should be a Planned Parenthood in your area.

You can get a blood test there to get an accurate pregnancy test result. There are counselors there who can help you.

I'm curious, do your parents know that you're using birth control? If so, they may be open to a conversation about whats happening. If not, (and I know you say you're Catholic) they may be disappointed but supportive. Most parents just want their kids to be healthy. And they can help you make good decisions about your health and your body. Nowadays, teen pregnancy isn't taboo. Kids don't get sent away to the aunt's in Pikipsee for "summer camp".

Bottom line, you need a support system. If it doesn't include your parents, then maybe your boyfriend's parents, a counselor, etc. I don't want to sound like I'm just spouting things off from a list somewhere. I do care what happens. But don't try to do this alone.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm no expert, but two positive test results seems pretty convincing. Definitely go to a doctor to make sure. I would suggest using two forms of birth control in the future if you aren't ready for children. Like the pill and a condom, for example. If you are pregnant, you need to think about your options.
