Make sure you are getting a balanced diet and start getting extra folic acide before you try to get pregnant.
Yes, it is harder to get pregnant when "heavier" but also when "underweight"...
Hense, you need to concentrate on you for a bit, in being healthy full stop...
That's a good plan. One reason is because, you will quit stressing about that side and concentrate on getting yourself healthy and you want to lose weight so that equals healthy as well..... It will give you a much better chance, Rome wasn't built in a day.
I, Sourpuss, lots of people can give you tips and ideas to lose weight, which include what to eat, what not to eat and exercise.
But, how about you tell us, ... write down over the next 4 days, in a diary what you ate that day broken down to breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between and also if you did any excersise including cleaning the house, how long for, and what you did.
Then we can actually pin point things for you.
Nothing to lose is there.

Yesterday- No breakfast, Lunch- Cuban mix with 15 bean soup, Dinner- snack type foods, Pringles. Wasnt hungry---I drank hawaian punch and Dr. Pepper. I walked in the parking lot 10mins, did some laundry 5mins and took my dogs outside for about 15 mins.
Today- Breakfast- leftover KFC with a 7-up. and thats it so far.
I know one thing I need to do is quit drinking pop. And I need to start folic acid.

IT's healthier to make sure you have a well balanced breakfast. NO KFC! lol Also yes cutting down on the pop will do you some good. Start buying crystal light and drink more green tea. But like any addiction, it will be hard to cut down. But once you cut more sugar and fats out of your diet you will notice a change...Instead of KFC, eat home broiled chicken with seasonings...instead of pop, a bottle of crystal light...you'll get the hang of it...also get eating fiber! Fruits, nuts, whole grain breat etc...

Spend less of your time at the grocery store in the packaged goods section and more of it in the fresh foods section! It looks and sounds more expensive, but when you get to the register you realize it's about the same price, if not cheaper. It's also MUCH better for you. A sack of potatoes costs about $5 and will feed you much longer than 2 bags of potato chips for the same price, not to mention being a lot healthier. You're never more than 10 microwave minutes away from a baked potato.
Try cutting your coke/pop/fruit juice intake by half for one week, then half again for another week, and go on until it's gone or you're only having a treat soda. Fruit juice is not as healthy as it sounds; it's full of sugar and has next to none of the fiber of a fruit.
Check out the calorie counts of fast food vs. homemade food. I don't even KNOW how they make their food so full of calories; it seems impossible. There's a lot you can do there, looking at your food list so far. Get "into" the healthy lifestyle (but don't necessarily deny yourself everything! Keep one REALLY yummy junk food around, not 5 so-so ones.)
Good luck.
I'll second Little on this. Cut out the soda - it has zero value. With fruit juice I always get the 100% juice in things like cranberry or pomegrante. Dilute it, don't drink it full strength, Little is right, it may be healthier than soda but it's still sugar and no fiber.
If you want to be healthy and lose weight you Must eat a good breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day and really sets the standard for your entire day. Something as simple as a bowl of Cheerieos topped with a sliced banana and some low fat milk will help you get off to a good start. The banana will give you the potasium you need and be one of those fruits and veggies on the list. Some good old fashioned oat meal is good, a couple of boiled eggs and some whole grain toast.
Fried food is like the plague, keep away from it! Instead of chips take a whole potato and slice it up thin. I like to cut it in half longways and then cut wedges. Lay them on a cookie sheet lightly coated with olive oil and bake until golden brown, you can turn then to get both sides nicely brown, season with a little grated cheese, old bay, or some other spices. Yummy and way healthier!
Thanks y'all. I keep trying to cut the pop out but its like I cut it out completly for a week and then i relapse! lol I ate a banana for breakfast i guess its better than nothing. We eat out alot so thats my problem! y'all are making me hungry lol I did lose 5lbs not too long ago, so quiting eating so much helped me out. I'm down 2 sizes. So I'm doing something right! lol

Expecting our 1st baby June 19th,2010
hey mandee, i got married when i was 19, and immediately wanted a baby, but decided to wait, and it was the hardest and longest years of my life! I am now 24 and 5 weeks pregnant. I am so happy thinking that my husband and i had 5 wonderful years of marriage already, and we grew toward eachother much more than i thought was possible. when i was 21 i truely believed i could get pregnant and everything would work out fine, and it probably would have, but now i am so thankful that i waited a bit longer. its definitely worth the wait. when we started to ttc i got pregnant immediatly, which showed me the time is right.
for weight loss, try to start walking, and cut anything white out of your diet. switch to fat free milk and other dairy products, eat whole grain bread rather than white, cut out as much sugar as possible etc. my dietician gave this advice that most white stuff should be avoided when trying to loose weight. and walk walk walk, and smile smile smile, when the time is right, everything else falls in to place and that day will be wonderful for you![]()
Thanks for the uplift. I dont think i could cut down to fat free milk. 2% makes me gag! lol And I dont know about the bread either lol...I'll have to try the bread part....Yea we're gonna wait, as long as im not pregnant now! I didnt get my period in April and I havnt gotten my May period yet....sigh....
