    Default No worries

The best advice i can give that i have a hard time listening to is don't stress out about it. My husband and i have have started trying to have a baby and looking for a quick way just makes it more stressful. We are going on our 4th month of trying and I am finally realizing that the more things i try to make it happen the more i think about it and the more disappointed i am when it doesn't happen. I just went to the doctor this week and asked some questions and got some good advise. 80-90% of women age 20-30 do not conceive until after the 8th month of trying. The next thing she told me is to start taking a prenatal vitamin that you can get over the counter at any drug store/pharmacy. this way you already have the essential nutrients to give the baby right away when you conceive. And always try to remember that when you are trying have fun and enjoy the trying. I have learned that the more focused and stress you are about getting pregnant, the harder it is to enjoy the experience of trying. It makes you tense when you should be relaxed and worry free.

I hope this helps and every time I tell someone it helps me remember not to stress out, it WILL happen one day

I wish you the best of luck. I just wanted to let you know that with my first child I got pregnant the first time we tried. Now I am trying for another child & I have been trying since November & I am still not pregnant. I have tried believe me, but I have just been stressing too much about it. So, my advice would be not to stress & have fun trying, That is what I am doing now. Good Luck!!!!

Hmm here is the advice that I can give you that my doctor gave me and his name is Dr. Jabara at UMC medical center and he is a fertility specialist. He said before you become pregnant, work on your diet. Excercise regularly, not vigorously, and eat healthy. The healthier you are the healthier vessel you will be for you child and this is suppose to make things happen a little easier.

I heard all wives tales like the woman on top and doggy style are suppose to be more affective. But to tell you teh truth, I think my baby was conceived during doggy and my niece was conceived with mommy on top. The deeper he is in, I know, the better chance. I was instructed to lay down afterwards and not try to move right away. If at all possible go to bed after sex. Like do it before you sleep at night. There is also a fertility monitor or ovulation monitor that they sell at Walamart that lets you know when you are ovulating that can help you and guide you through the right times of the month to have sex.

Your cycle begins on the first day of your period. I heard that 14-16 days after the first day of your period is when your egg drops and its ready for fertilization. Sperm only stays alive for three days so I guess the more aften you do it in that short time span then the better. Plus this lets the hubby know you guys can have sex as much as he wants in this three day span.

If you smoke, Stop smoking. I was a smoker and I was told that was probably one of the reasons why I wasn't conceiving. If you are over-weight even by like 10 pounds (which I am) then try and loose a couple pounds. The healthier you are the better chances. I hope I have given you a couple ideas. All this stuff worked for me and now I got a baby on the way! So good luck with you and God Bless.

You are awesome!!!! Thanks for the advice. I will take it. I had thought that the first day of your period you count 10-14 days & that was your ovulation time, but maybe I was not doing that part right either. I know I just need to relax a bit too. Well, thanks so much for your help & I will try some of that. Thanks,

If you know your cycle, mid way through you begin to have a clear, odorless discharge. This is you ovulation time....start having fun! No need to wait between sessions-the more you have, the more sperm will be produced(my doc informed us of this). We also came across on the Discovery Health channel one night that they have found that if men take ginseng, it promotes more/better swimmers. After seeing that, we thought back to our other two kids and realized that he had been taking that. Needless to say, after trying for one year, we rushed out to the drugstore and picked some up....a month later we were expecting!! I wish you all the luck and remember to HAVE FUN!!

    Hello Ladies,

I have just recently had a miscarriage and it was very hard on me. I just wanted to start trying right away, but the doctor said "wait 3 months." Well, I have this microscope, it looks like a tube of lipstick, chapstick, whatever your preference is. I got it at Walgreens. It is safe to use everyday, and you do not have to use urine. You use your saliva. How it works is, you spit on the lense, wait for it to dry, then look at it on the microscope. When we ovulate, our saliva produces high amounts of salt that look like little ferns on the lense of the microscope. It sounds strange, but it works. A little expensive, but you can use it everyday. It has a lifetime warrantee on it. It is better than using those ovulation sticks that only come seven in a box. If you are wondering when you are fertile this would be a good choice. If you get one let me know how it goes.
