Ok, here's the story.

I started on a birth control pill called loette on the 1st may. Have been taking it daily but not at the exact time each day, normally out by only an hour to an hour and half though. On the 15th I had otherwise unprotected sex. On the 20th I experienced light bleeding, nothing like my normal period, with very severe cramps, which lasted only a few days. In the two weeks following that I have been experiencing constant hunger but no appetite, and when I do eat I would get stomach pains and chest pains which I cannot confirm to be either indigestion or heartburn simply because I have never experienced either of these so I don't know what they feel like. I have also been feeling nausea, headaches, occasional hot flushes, back pains and a regular feeling of wetness like period is coming on, but when I check there's nothing. Plus I've been much more tired than usual and lightheaded. Other symptoms include vivid dreams, some tenderness on the side of my left breast, an occasionally heightened sense of smell - I normally have almost no sense of smell at all - and I've been burping more than usual. Some of these symptoms have eased a bit over the past few days but I still feel a little off compared to normal. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like you may be reacting to this drug. Talk to the doc, sometimes you have to try several types before you find one you can tollerate. Funny back in the days when the pill was a much newer thing and there weren't so many options I don't recall anyone having as nuch trouble with them as they seem to now.
