Smile microadinoma

Hi,

I am 33 years old and have had a begnign pituitary tumor for approx 5 years and only found out a few months ago. My count is very high (around 700) which my specialist said he had never seen so high. I am currently taking Dostinex 500mcg once a week and have been on this for 7 weeks and my doctor and I are monitoring this to see if my levels reduce, I was on other medication before this but it made me very sick. I have not had a period in approx 5 years which concerns me. I was wondering if anybody else has a similar condition. I am wanting to get pregnant soon and have not heard of anybody getting pregnant yet with this condition. I would love to here from anybody that could share there experiences with me.

Default Microadinoma

I am a 31 year old mother of 1. I was diagnosed with a pituitary microadinoma when I was 16 years old. I was having problems with my weight and irregular menstrual cycles. I was on parlodel for many years but most recently Dostinex. After being on Dositnex for a few months my prolactin level lowered down to a normal ranges and I was able to conceive. At a high point my levels were around 300, and today are in normal range. Although, I am still fighting to get my weight under control my menstrual cycles are more normal than they have ever been. Dostinex has afforded me the freedom of taking it only 2 times per week, and very few side affects. I would love to get advice as o how those with hormonal issues should go about loosing weight.. Are there foods we should avoid?
