I'm wondering if there's anyone else out there that has experienced a severe neck and headache 10 days after c-section accompanied by a rise in blood pressure?
The back of my neck, both sides, at the base of my skull was gradually increasing in achiness and eventually pain which spread around to my temples over two days. I could not sit or lay down without experiencing severe pain. It felt best to stand. It got so bad that I went to the emergency room where they ran a CT scan, took blood, urine sample, etc. and came back with nothing. My blood pressure soared to 182/83. My blood pressure has never been higher than 110/70 so this was very concerning. Eventually I was given morphine to ease the headache pain and sent home with tylenol with codeine and with no explanation. The last part of this mystery is that when I began experiencing the neckache/headache, the swelling I had leftover from my c-section in my abdomen, legs & feet began to dissipate. By the time I left the hospital, my legs looked exactly the same as pre-pegnancy.
We're monitoring my blood pressure regularly now (my neighbor is a nurse) but I'm curious if anyone on this forum experienced anything similar? Or knows someone who did? I'm very worried the issue will present itself again and am looking for some answers.
