Default Condom Broke, On Birth Control

Hi, um so i was having sex with my girlfriend and when i pulled out as i was climaxing i realized that our condom was broken. She's been on birthcontrol since september, 10 months. I am 90% sure i pulled out before i climaxed as there was some cleaning up to do. I'm still worried, terrified actually. She isnt going tot ake plan b because we are scared of any side effects. Do you think will be okay?

You are fine! As long as she hasn't missed any pills the risk for pregnancy is 1%. Make sure she keeps taking her pills on schedule and then if her period is late she can take a pregnancy test.

I still don't get it, why take the bc and add all those hormones to your body if you don't believe it will work? It's 99% effective. IF it's taken correctly and I know a lot of women don't. I was on the pill for years before I developed a problem with clotting, No accidents. But I was rigorous in taking it as instructed.

I get the sense that what passes for sex ed developed by the no sex proponates may do a great disservice since after dropping for years, the pregnancy rates are climbing. I think some of it has to do with distrust of BC.
