Default Pill/pregnancy question..

Hi I am new on here so I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to advise.
I am currently on the pill and my husband and I would like another child, we intended on taking one more pack of pills and then to 'try' for baby number two so I took day one of my packet of pills then we just decided not to bother waiting so I have stopped taking the pill altogether now.
I took the first pill on friday, do you think it is likely I will have another period as I took one of the pills or could I possibly be pregnant already (we have had intercourse a few times)
Sorry to ask such stupid questions probably but just wondered if anyone has had this experience before and could advise.
Many thanks xxxx

Yes it is possible to get pregnant immediately, but don't be upset if it takes you 2,3,4 or more months to become pregnant. I would just wait it out and if you don't get your period on time then start testing the first day of your missed period.

Have you always had normal periods before the pill?
How early were your pregnancy symptoms the first time around? Can you compare just in case?

Remember that going off the pill can throw your hormones out of whack and cause early period, spotting, mood swings, sore/ tender breasts, missed period. So missing your period could be a symptom of pregnancy or going off the pill.

The only way to really know is wait until you miss your period, then test away.

Good luck!

If you only took 1 pill from the new pack, it shouldn't prevent you from getting pregnant this month. It shouldn't be much different from if you hadn't taken it at all. It basically comes down to how fast your body goes back to your normal cycle.

Hi to both of you and thankyou for replying.
I always had normal periods before the pill and then when I became pregnant with my son I stopped taking the pill and became pregnant straight away so I guess I will just have to wait and see as like you say some of the symptoms can be the same as getting your period/going off pill etc so I guess its a matter of waiting and seeing if it happens *fingers crossed*.
Thanks to both of you for your advice x
