actually there are insurance companies that do not look at pregnancy as a pre existing condition. You just need to do your homework. it's not insurance fraud by looking for these companies. there's nothing wrong with wanting to pay as little as possible for good coverage. My mom paid over $300 a month for her insurance and they only paid about $1,000 for over a half a million dollars in doctor and hospital treatments when she was diagnosed with cancer. I have argued with them, have laid down the policy she signed and they still refused to cover what her policy stated saying it was unclear if this was a pre existing condition. She signed the policy in 8/07 and was diagnosed 1/08. Still, I say look around, contact companies. you might be surprised

I know shopping around isn't insurance fraud. Read what I said - "Willfully attempting to deceive an insurance company in order to obtain lower premiums is indeed insurance fraud."
Agreed. But there is something wrong with trying to deceive an insurance company. Or "beat the system" as the OP put it.We ALL pay for that in the end.
Yes, shop around. That is the best thing you can do. And don't fib with your underwriting.![]()
