Default Please help, pregnancy test reading question

To make a long story short, I took a pregnancy test because I have been having weird symptoms. I am on the pill, also. I was sick with flu like symptoms Thursday and Friday this week, then tonight I had a little bleeding, and my last period started September 10th, so I'm not due for a while. The blood was light red, so I know it's not old.

Anyway, I took a pregnancy test we had left from a 2 pack. I think my husband threw away the box and instructions, so I have no idea what the test means. I was wondering if anyone could help me. The test has a circle for the first window, and a rectangle for the other window. Nothing showed up in the circle, but a line like this | showed up in the rectangle window. Which one is the test window, and which is the result window? Anyone have any idea? Thank you for any help!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm 99% sure at least here in Aussie, "pregnant" is two ll in blue off by memory...

Illnesses can bring on spotting... as can stress.. I highly doubt you have any problems and tell your husband to leave your things alone Only joking...

Hehe, thank you. I just wish I could find the box -_- I am having cramps, too, which is weird. I don't cramp unless I'm on my period. Birth control causing this maybe? I started it two months ago. . .but I didn't have any weird symptoms at all except nausea.

I agree with CW, generally two lines yes, one line no.

Maybe, could be, possible signs of ovulation. If you started around the 10th, you are right in that window... Not sure though.

Usually, one line means either:
A, the test worked and you're not pregnant or
B, the test didn't work.
One of the lines is to make sure the test is working, and the other detects the pregnancy hormone.
You should be in clear waters

Two months .. So are you saying you have only had Birth Control for two months, prior to that you had nothing for quite some time?

Let the young ones tell you the answer in full, in short? Seeing as I still take them, if i let go for a few months then go back on, ahhh it's all over the place. My body is still trying to work out what this foreign thing is in my body as it forgot. That's my personal thoughts.

Little, that's excellent I never thought of the l meaning that it's working as well as, I only thought it mean't no your not pregnant.

Love learning something new every day.

Completely scratch my ovulation comment, duh, you're on the pill... lol - long day!

My personal opinion, you body is still getting used to it.

I appreciate all the replies! I could just be freaking out over nothing, but I never get cramps and bleeding midway through my cycle. I have been on the pill before, and never got these symptoms, that's why I asked. I've been on the pill several times, actually, and never had side effects. Had to stop a few times because of no health insurance -_-

Also, would birth control mess up pregnancy test results?

I don't believe so, I mean there is always a chance of false neg or false pos, but it doesn't have anything to do with BC pills.
