Trying for a baby
My husband and I are thinking about having a baby. We are decent religous people and we feel that when it happens it happens and God is letting us know we can handle it. WE have had two miscarriages. The first pregnancy I was 4 months pregnant and we miscarried. No one could tell us why. The second time was a few months ago and I was only a month and I started bleeding. Just miscarried. But during both times my husband and I were going through some pretty stressful stuff. The first time we had just gotten married and he had orders to go over seas and it nearly killed me to know my son would be 6 months old when his daddy gets to meet him. Killed me. And I was having complications and my husband got out of the mission and was sent home. Shortly after we miscarried. This second time my husband and I split up and I found out I was pregnant right after wards. I was smoking heavily and very distrout. I believe that both times we weren't ready and God needed our babies in heaven more than we did. So, I am not sure what I should do the next time. I am not pregnant right now but I want to know how I can prepare. I have gone from M. Reds to lights to ultra lights and I am slowly cutting down on the cigarettes. Should I start taking pre-natal vitamins and viatmins so I can be healthier. I don't really have the best diet. Some days I eat two meals and some days I eat just one. I smoke too much and I don't really excercise too often but I am not too much over-weight. Only about 10 pounds or so. Are there any steps I can take to kinda feel better about the next time around? What can I do to prepare? Are there any positions we can try that will nail it? Any advice ladies would be apprecaited. Thanks!

My doctor told me that since we are trying I should start taking pre-natal vitamines, that way the baby has a good start right from the beginning. I have also been reading that the more you can imporve your lifestyle the better off things will be for you and the baby. I am currently reading a great book that helps you prepare you and your husband for getting pregnant. it is called "6 steps to increased fertility" by Robert L. Barbieri, MD, Alice D. Domar, Ph.D, & Kevin R. Loughlin, MD.
I am learning some things that i never knew and reconferming some things i already knew. Every time i read something interesting in this book i tell my husband about (he gets annoyed, but i think it is good for him to hear it from an expert
).
God has a plan for you, keep praying and asking for what your heart desires and it will be given to you. I will be praying for you. God bless.

Thank you so much! I really do appreciate it. And I will keep you in my prayers and hope you and your husband conceive when you just least expect it! Makes it that much more awesome!
