HPT not accurate? period 2 weeks late now.

I had my last period on August 28th. I'm now almost 2 weeks late.

I took 3 First Response Early Results HPT and all came out negative. I took 1 on Monday, one Tuesday, and one yesterday.

Is it possible that I am pregnant?

I started a pro bono law clinic this month as well as my 2nd year of law school. I've been running around like a maniac, so I'm thinking that maybe this is just stress.... but I'm never usually late.

How common is it for HPT to be wrong at 2 weeks late?

I suppose I should go get a blood test.... but I haven't had the time!

It's definitely possible. (assuming you had unprotected sex since your last period)

Mine has been late before when I was under a tremendous amount of stress so this is a possibility too.

For something like this I think you need to MAKE the time, if nothing else than for your piece of mind. That way you'll know what you need to focus on/and or prepare for.

Don't ya mean your last period was on Sept. 28th rather than Aug? If it were that late you'd DEFINATELY be preggo!! lol

But ya a blood test might be in order for you...make an appointment so you don't have to sit around and wait.

No, I mean what I said. My period began on August 28th and lasted a normal 5 days. I've yet to have one for September. My cycle is about 31-32 days. This means my period is 10+ days late. All pregnancy tests come up negative. I just took another two this morning. They were all different brands, heh.

BTW, I don't really appreciate smiley faces, the term "preggo" or otherwise making a joke out of something most women take very seriously.

I'll go get a blood test this weekend to make sure, provided I didn't get my period by then.

We understand that you are under stress, but it's no excuse to go around shooting down people's help. It's not allowed on this forum at all.

Hi there,
Ive made a post early last week or so with a 2 week late period. I took 2 HPT and they both came up negative, However, Lastnight, Which made me exactly 2 weeks late, i took another HPT and it came up Positive

There are many reasons you can miss your period or get a False negative test result..
1.) Stress ( Which you seem to have right now )
2.) Poor diet
3.) Wrong calculations in your period. ( Took your test too soon )
4.) Bad tests
5.) HCG it what a test looks for, You may either be taking the test at the wrong time of day.. OR not doing it correctly. Try taking your tests in the morning, First morning urine is the best.
6.) You could have a infection, etopic pregnancy.
Since you are 2 weeks late, I would make a visit to your doctor and get things checked out.
