Default No period for 2 months..heading to health clinic

My last period..not even a period really, came the second week of August..it lasted 3 days, very light. A week after that I had a day of light spotting...pink when I wiped. My periods normally came the middle of the month, lasting 5 days with a moderate flow.
I had a normal period in July and then from that point and all through August I had severely tender nipples..just nipples not my entire breasts. I went through a phase where I was very tired, my appetite changed and my taste in foods changed. I was nauseous on some mornings. I have taken several home preg. tests and they all come up negative. I stopped BC in July.
I went through a phase where I didn't have much of an appetite..and on some days it was like I couldn't get enough to eat. Since August my nipples haven't been tender and my appetite has been steady, no nauseousness , nothing. But no period at all either.
So I am heading to the health clinic tomorrow morning to get tested. If it is negative I'll ask to be put back on Ortho Tricyclin to regulate my periods again. If I am pregnant then we'll just deal with it.
We want kids but with our current situation now it won't be the best of times but if we are then we'll make it work.

Well, good luck to you finding out... That's good that you'd be able to deal with kids if you had to! If I may ask, why did you stop BC?

Btw, statistics show that home pregnancy tests are extremely faulty. Getting tested at a clinic is a better idea.

Most women's nipples get quite a bit darker as well as more sensitive.

I think it may be just the fact that you stopped BC. Our hormones are really strange things at times, messing with your body and whatnot. But still a check with the doc should give you some answers.

Mes_T it's funny you mention that about HPTs. I took 4 HPTs, all were positive, but the docs urine test was negative! Talk about confusion! It took a blood test and ultrasound to confirm. Now I am happily 8 months pregnant!

Just an update:

The pregnancy test came back neg at the clinic, but the nurse said because I took it in the late afternoon it probably wouldn't show positive anyway. I passed on the pelvic exam. Every single test I have ever taken was negative and I took most of them first thing in the morning. The nurse told me that I would always stop having a regular period when I get off Birth Control. She have me a prescription for provera. I take one pill for 10 days and 4-7 days after that I should get my period. If I don't I'll need to see a physician because there's something else going on. I also got another 4 months worth of Ortho Tricyclin as well but have to wait before starting that.
So pretty much I can't get pregnant because the BC will prevent the sperm from attaching and as soon as I get off BC I will stop ovulating. So if I want to have kids one day I'm going to have to stay on BC to regulate my periods and then just figure out when I ovulate and aim to have sex then. This is the same problem my mom had and she had to get pregnant like that. I just don't know when a woman normally ovulates...before the period..or after?

I stopped taking the BC because I missed so many pills. I was never home at the same time regularly and never took my pills with me wherever I went...and the reason I had to start them anyway was that I was having uncontrollable bleeding every day.

You can figure out when you ovulate by measuring your temperature every morning or something, but you'd have to do this consistently for a few months to get accurate information.

I'd strongly recommend an IUD for you. Have you considered that option? (Honestly, I'm like a broken record. )

Well when the nurse was looking over my past records and everything she made the comment about me ovulating that day...I don't remember if she said it was before or after my period but she had pinpointed it to a specific day. She made it sound like all women have a universal time when they ovulate. And no, I do not want an IUD. My own personal choice for several different reasons.

Well be careful with the ovulation thing in any case, if it were easy to measure then none of us would be on BC.

I had like a sex ed type course in college, and there I heard about a machine reader thing they have in Europe that can measure the precise time you ovulate. But that was the first and last time I'd heard of it... I wonder if anyone else might know what I'm talking about?

Have you considered the nuva ring or depo shot or something like that where you wouldn't have to remember to take something daily?
