    Default Y shaped uterus??

So I went to the er 2 weeks ago and the second time was the same week.
    I was 4 weeks pregnant and I was having a M/C

they told me I had a Y shaped uterus which I had been to my ob gyn: I had a inner and outter ultra-sound done and they said everything was fine (I was 19 at the time)

I am 23 now and very confused, Er dr said it is a birth defect so if it were the ob gyn would have seen it right?

Jan I will be going to the ob gyn but until then I need some advise and some info on this cause i cant find it online anywhere!

So what are you asking? Your post is a little confusing.

i think i understand...your asking if the ER doctor mite be nut because ur ob gyn didnt have the same answer or say the same thing...but maby the ER was just making a guess did he do any imaging or further examining to try and determine it a factor 100% diagnosis? also if wat ER doctor is treatable or even possible cause ive never herd of such a condition.

No, never did anyother testings to confirm what they said was correct. I am just baffled as to how they can say i have a Y shaped uterus when I was checked at the age of 18.

I ment could the diagnostic of an er dr be compelte ?

I never had an issue before so why was it all a sudden there?
doesnt make sense........ and no, no images or anything just said I have what they call a y shaped uterus..I can't find ANYTHING bout it either!

I suggest you get checked again by your Ob/GYN...if he says all good, then I would get a second opinion.

I have heard of this condition, the medical name is a "bicornuate uterus". You can google this name to better understand what it is. If everything was fine the last time you got checked, it should be now...there is no mistaking the shape (unless the proper test wasn't performed....where they put dye in there and do an Xray or ultrasound)

Definately mention the miscarriage and the hospital's diagnosis to your Ob/GYN on your next visit.

    Good luck.
