    Default Silly question about labour

Does anybody think that moms to be (first time moms to be specific) can sense that labour is near? Not necessarily by physical signs, but sort of like a sixth sense. Not really by "wishing" labour will come soon either but just sort of "knowing" (not exactly) that it's REALLY near.

I have been having this feeling, sort of a hunch, like something (or someone) is telling me that I'm going to be in labour very soon (my due date is 2 weeks from now) but I have this feeling that it will be before that. I don't know why...it's strange.

Anyone care to enlighten me? lol

I believe so... With my first, I just felt... weird... I don't know how to explain it. It started the Wednesday before he was born, I went into labor on a Monday night. Just weird, I didn't quite feel right and couldn't pinpoint it.

Well darling, the closer you get the more you get to feeling that you've just had enough and it's time for things to change, for something to happen. This mean you are getting close to labor. My daughter was born at noon on her due date, my son an hour and 20 mins past his. How?

The day before my "due" date, really they come when they are ready, I started on ginger. Ginger tea and made homemade ginger cookies using fresh grated ginger root. The ginger gets things going. At least it did it for me.

Are you nesting? Wanting to clean and organize everything? Have it all ready? That is another sign that you are getting very close.

    It will come!

Some do... I did not. Enjoy the little time you have left where you just have you and your hubby. Things will never be the same again (IN A GOOD WAY!!!). You will be so consumed with all things baby very soon!

Well doc says my cervix has softened alot and thinning out a little, but no dialation. I have been having braxton hicks contractions for the past 2 hours, but not painful at all and not regular. It has alot to do with all the Christmas shopping I did today though...I think I may just be a little overstimulated. I just ate supper and feel alot better....I need a warm bath...feet hurt

This could go on for days or move into real labor. Your body is getting ready for the big day!
I still get teary eyed thinking of my children's birth and the first time I held then each and nursed them. It's an amazing experience.

I had braxton contractions for weeks, man, so so uncomfortable. It was unbelievable how hard my belly would get, crazy.

    Keep rested!
